Nigerian First lady, Aisha Buhari has said that her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari will be remembered as President who placed premium on youth development.

Speaking in Abuja on Tuesday when she flagged off the Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers (HIRD), she said the president was particularly passionate about the scheme, adding that his support for the scheme was driven by his belief for one Nigeria.

“The administration of President Muhammadu Buhari will be remembered as one, which places premium on youth development.

Mr President is particularly passionate about the NYSC. His support for the Scheme is driven by his belief in one Nigeria, and, sincere appreciation of the contributions of these young men and women. To this effect, the First Family always treat corps members serving in Daura, Katsina State, to presidential reception during Sallah festivities,
” she said.

She called on the management of the Scheme as well as the corps members not to relent on their efforts in promoting the unity of the country by providing quality service delivery to the nation irrespective of state or place of service.

Buhari noted that the introduction of the (HIRD) programme had been successful, hence her office appreciated the project by donating “a well-equipped mobile clinic to the Scheme to enhance the success of the corps medical team.”

She said the scheme had made enormous impact, especially among rural dwellers, which has continued to attract commendation from within and outside the country.

On his part, Director General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed said the HIRD programme was born out of the need to solve health challenges affecting poor people in the rural areas across the country.

He said the programme which was initiated in 2014 was a platform through which corps medical personnel comprising doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and dentists, amongst others, provide free and quality health care for the people, especially the rural poor.

Ahmed reported that so far, over three million Nigerians had benefited from the initiative.

He will be remembered as a leader who thought that borrow borrow will make us rich.

A leader who fed children in school even when he declared a total lockdown due to Covid 19.

A leader who watched as militia from his tribe butchered and burnt thousands of farmers in their communities across the country and did nothing.

A leader whi claims integrity but watched as corruption ripped the country apart.

He will be remembered as the most nepotic and tribalistic leader that Nigeria has ever had.

A leader that turned a country of 200m people with potential into the poverty capital of the world having more poor people than India and China with over 1.4B people each.

A leader who hardly obeys court orders except if its in line with his wishes.

A leader who promised to turn Presidential fleet into Nigerian Airways but couldn't buy a single plane.

A leader who wants to borrow another $800m to share to undocumented number of poor citizens one month to end of his tenure

A leader who failed to repair any of the refineries he met nor build new ones as he promised but spent Billions every month on maintenance of the refineries.

A leader who brought about a poorly thought out and implemented change of monetary policy to destabilise an already destabilised economy and push citizens further into poverty.

A leader whose ambition was just to become Nigeria's president and not to lead the country to prosperity

He will be remembered for being the most heartless Nigerian president ever.
People(majorly youths)were dying and still dying in their numbers in Kaduna South he rarely spoke about it.

Billions that could have been used for startups for youths were carted away by his appointees and relatives, he simply smiled away.

He's busy paying irritants 30k to disturb our once peaceful and intellectual nairaland.

He will only be remembered for the suffering he inflicted on the masses. May God never allow us to remember Buhari. He will surely be dropped in the dustbin of failed presidents. Even Abacha government is better
