Check this few verses first......
Proverbs 16:3. ...
Romans 8:9. ...
Colossians 3:2. ...
Philippians 4:8-9. ...
Philippians 4:5-7. ...
Romans 15:13. ...
Proverbs 2:6-8.
smiley

1. Prov 16:3: commit your actions to the Lord and your plans would succeed

2. Prov 2:6 - 8: For the Lord grants wisdom! From His mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who work in integrity. He guards the path of the just and protects those who are faithful to Him.

3. Romans 8:9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the spirit of God living inside of you. (And remember that those who do not have the spirit of God inside of them do not belong to Him at all).

4. Romans 15:13 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

5. Colossians 3:2 Think about the things of Heaven, not the things of earth

6. Philippians 4: 8 - 9 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learnt and received from me - everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace would be with you.

I wouldn't write out Philippians 4:5 - 7 because it was Paul's encouragement to them and I have written out the subsequent verses.

I painstakingly wrote out those verses from my Bible so that someone would not stumble on this thread and say yes, he quoted the passages, nobody responded.

I do not know the assembly you worship but it is tragic that you who are a man and supposedly would be the priest of your home has no grasp of what is expected of you. It is disheartening that we ask for Bible verses and you quote irrelevant passages to insult our intelligence.

Not one of those passages talk about marriage, mentions a woman or a wife so that you would be charged for misinterpretation and not this outright nonsense you just did.

If you claim to be a Christian, give your life to Christ and go back to Christian foundation 101 so you can start the scriptures from the milk designed for babies.

"God has always settled every form of problem that may arise among HIS CHILDREN."

I intentionally capitalized 'his children ' o . Aside this even as an unbeliever if you acknowledge God and tender your case before him, He will respond. It's the grace Jesus Christ has given to all. Part of this grace is why sun shines on all individual, plant grows for all, rain falls for all and air is free.

God is not wicked, nah you dey judge him from far.

Anytime I read that Kobo's post and she/he repeats that post on threads regarding prayer, I chuckle.

Explain how this connects to possession by demons. Quickly.

Because it seems you guys have the habit of talking off point. After you’ll call yourself logical. How is the verse you quoted connected to women being easy to possess by demons?

Genesis 3:16,
Bible passage (Revised Standard Version)

β€œI will greatly multiply your pain in childbearing;

in pain you shall bring forth children,

yet your desire shall be for your husband,

and he shall rule over you.”

Sad and unfortunate

CHoccolaTE:

That's one thing I can't wrap my head around.
Why are so many men hateful and full of disdain for women and anything female?
Women are mostly peaceful and not violent an d problematic. We have more empathy and we are more emotionally mature and understanding.
Or is there a problem in males that predisposes many of them to act like violent sociopaths towards those they perceive as lesser or weaker than them?

Option B seems more likely to me.

Abi? Make she move closer to God she will realize she misjudge God.

I don't have lots of NEVER but one thing I will never do is argue God, spirituality, religion on a forum. I can teach but if someone want argument, I can only remember him or her in prayers cheesy

Women and Men shouldn't pray for any misbehaving spouse, if situations doesn't improve, leave. It's that simple

@bolded: Nice try. Hopefully, you haven't used that 'trick' to your advantage in financial matters! grin grin grin

OH common COCO, you had two comments that I divided into mutually exclusive statements,

1. This is the second comment I’m seeing within the past hour talking about how women are easy to possess by demons etc. who came up with that? How was it measured? Smh

2. You people have refused to acknowledge how deeply deeply hateful you are towards women and how you use every opportunity you have create anti-women spaces within your religious communities.
I was only making a comic of point number 2.

However, I love the tales of demons, since, after all, the search for demons, I could say, paved the path to my atheism. So, I may be able to tell you about why "demons" possess women more. Unsurprisingly, I can argue that it's the same reason women flood churches more than men (to put it in a lighter manner wink wink ). There is indeed the science to prove it grin grin grin

So you’re even atheist. Meaning you’re not team β€œpray for the man”. Why are you here? Lol

The man is the head of the home. Period..

For the fact that he is the head of the home is the more reason he needs to be praying for God's grace to carry on with his family

How come men are never advised to pray and fast for their wives when the wives misbehave?
I am just coming from the thread about that woman whose husband keep wasting money on gambling and there are many comments there asking her to pray and fast for him.

If a woman is the one displaying lousy parenting or partnership there is usually so much castigation for her and in many cases, her husband is advices to punish or cheat on her or even divorce her.

I can't imagine a man starting a thread about how his wife leaves the house dirty all the time, doesn't cook or clean and has refused to take advice or change for the better and then that man will be adviced to pray and fast for his lousy wife.
I can't just imagine that scenario. The man will be told to send his wife packing or to get another wife.

Many people really think the verse in the Bible about husband's showing their wives love and leading with love is just there for decoration.

Your question is veey right about women praying for their husband and men don't pray for their wives as women does for men

You see the moment a man marry's, the house the family and the marriage is now under the management of his wife

So she keeps praying for God to take authority and control over her marriage

When a man is progressing, his wife's prayes are part of what makes him to progress

When a man is happy, his wife attitude is what makes him happy

When a man starts living a bad life, the wife is the one that will pray to God to briyhim out of that bad life

When a man is womanizing, the wife prays to God to stop him from such life

When a man is irresponsible, the wife prays to God to teach him how to carry out his responsibility

When a man does the unthinkable a woman still prays for either success or failure to him

Men are always distracted by so many things including women, drinking, gambling, clubbing and other bad vices, so they do to even have time for prayers

Dont be surprise that in some homes, their dad doesn't go to church but makes sure the wife and children goes ans still give them money for offering and transportation where need be

The niaja mentality has made it clear that a man can be married and still misbehave, so the wife will either accept it or leave it the way it is, so she doesn't ha e any option that you to pray for the man and gid always answer their prayers before you know it you will start seeing changes in the man and the woman will just be laughing that God has answered her prayers but the man doesn't know that her prayers made it possible

That same mentality made women to be seen as people who must be organized and don't mess up

Men believes that they don't need to pray for their wife's because if she mess up you move out and get another one

Forgetting that you are still going to meet another bad one
