Maybe this was the case before they migrated ... did he expect it to change because they moved? I want to believe he often beat her up and treated her like a small small girl before migrating ... and now the wife is getting back at him. He wants to beat her up which tells me is nothing new to him ... his one and only solution to all problems in the home... now he can't think of another. Spousal abuse goes both ways ... Half of what? There is nothing in the first place! The man is a student doing 20hrs weekly night security job and the wife probably into warehouse or care job....they are barely managing with children in the mix.

Cooked up story. Why do people think that a woman will not go to jail if there is evidence of her committing an offence? If a man has evidence of his woman beating him and he reports to the police, she will be punished accordingly.

Meanwhile, it's not necessary to keep cooking up stories to discourage people from migrating if they want to. Every sane adult who wants to migrate will surely think through the pros and cons before taking his decision.
