Recently, I've been longing to reorder my life and do things differently from how I have been living until now.
I basically want to get closer to God and have some fellowship. The Bible says taste and see the Lord is good. I wish to have practical experience of this word, other than the theory.

So I started some prayers and fasting. Something actually plodded me in my spirit. Some burden, despair, helplessness and fear.

But Surprisingly on the third day or so of my fasting, I received a word in my dream, more like someone unseen spoke the word to me..and I saw saw the letters of the word
Immediately I woke up, I wrote it down.
And it happened to be the first scriptural word I ever received from dream.

The word says : "If any one heareth my words and doeth them.... "

Now it happened even while I was hearing the word in dream state, I realised it was from the scriptures, but when I woke up, I realised i could not recall all the phrase more than the part I wrote above. And I also didn't know the verse.
So I typed it in Google and it brought it out for me as Mathew 7 v 24-27 which says:::
"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock"

I was amazed, and it has helped me so far to continue in obedience and belief.

This primed me to ask if anyone can also share their testimony to receiving words from dream and what verse of the Bible it was.

I believe it can edify and encourage someone. Thanks.

Here's a simple question. You claim you received this verse from God by doing that which God never in fact commanded of you — starvation-diet fasting rituals. And you say it helped you so far to continue in obedience and belief. Obedience to what exactly? Belief in what?

Jesus spent more time with God in the wilderness using dry fast.
So I was getting closer to God..using fast and pray..is that also a problem to you?

1. Stop injecting your private delusions in between the lines of what is in fact written in scripture and let Scripture read itself to you. Jesus Christ spent as much time in the wilderness as Moses and Elijah did, and nowhere is it stated that he dry fasted as you claim.

2. You do not get closer to God by going on a diet. God never said anywhere in Scripture that you could get closer to Him by going on a diet, so stop telling yourself these lies.

1. Matthew 7 vs 24 - 27 speaks of the different between building one's house on the Truth of God and building it rather on lies. Hence the reason why I asked you the follow-up questions. What exactly do you claim that it helped you to obey?

2, Again, your confusion is not mine but born of the conflict between the doctrines and traditions of men to which you subscribe, as opposed to the Truth of Jesus Christ.

3. I cannot assume that at all since a starvation diet is a starvation diet even if one were to drink water.

4. Attacking me does not mean you win against Scripture. So, focus your energy instead on proving your claims by way of Scripture. Here's how you can start. Show exactly where it is that God Himself commanded you to fast in the way that you fast to this day. Produce Scriptural evidence for this ritual — dry or wet — which you all cling to this very day.
