I like the discipline of the armed forces. I do not like death nor been yelled at. If born in a developed nation, I would join the army. PTSD is not something I ever want to experience. I’ll stick to my job of working in oil rigs.

Why isn’t the Nigerian military glamourized like other nations make theirs? Gen Z is no less physical than times of before. If anything, most are fitter due to gym culture. I want a situation where one out of ten Nigerians serves in the military. It will better us as people.

To ordinary citizens like me, it is noteworthy that this country is not about ethnicity or tribalism. It is about common good of me and you and the rest of the masses. But funny enough, it is still me and you who would not let a good and well meaning candidate to redeem this country for us the common people because of ethnic affiliation. Now that your statesman is managing the affairs of the country, how are you faring. Once you are not up there with the elites, you are on your own. The day we realize this will be the day this country called NIGERIA will be redeemed.

That's why Americans no dey dull themselves. If they are sending large contingent of soldiers to your country, there's always something they stand to gain.

Money was made ,only that the circulation was limited to top politicians and military.

When was APC formed and when did the Liberian civil war occur?

Kids everywhere

Not just kids, but ignorant people.

Someone above who calls himself a public affairs analyst is blaming the current govt and the CDS.

The level of ignorance from these set of people is alarming.

How much has Nigeria made in return on investment in losses? Well footings BABANGIDA AND ABACHA made from are all there to see..... Imagine half of that going to scholarship? NIGERIA is a loser and Nigerians are sufferers.....

So looting as official policy and gangsters at workplaces rather than workers in public and corporate institutions thrive. And as much in tragic ways of men and women go on in these institutions only to deliver misery ratios to the people...

I think the headline item is the lives lost not the money expended. We seem to have a morbid fascination with the USD and the word "billion"

I am unaware of there being a cenotaph anywhere memorializing the soldiers that died in this war. For me and I am sure the families of those that lost family and friends this is the stand out item from the speech.

I stand to be corrected if there is a name by name memorial.

Again, kids will rush to comment nonsense.

The general was referring to the ECOMOG peace keeping mission in Liberia during the Babangida and Abacha time. A lot of these kids were not born them sha. Some of them were still toddlers then...

The Buhari government didn't spend any 8bn dollar in Liberia
