The biblical and historical events listed below teaches us that God's own people could become idolatorous and could still defend their idolatory to the end:

2. Jeremiah Chapter 7:18, Chapter 44:15-19
(The Isrealite burnt incence to the queen of heaven, an idol they look up to for protection, salvation, and provision)

Could it be that the spiritual Isrealites of today (God's own church) is repeating the idolatrous history of His physical Israel but in a slightly different fashion?
