lmao there ain't gone be no next time Mariah. The food was trash. The ambiance ? It was nice and cute . Quite small. Can seat a max of 15 people. The ac was powerful. The decor was nice. It's alright. You would not be blown away but you would not be disappointed either . It's a one off for me. Not impressed at all with the food

I would not consider myself a customer, a thrill seeker ? Maybe. I was bored yesterday and decided I needed a small adventure and this idea crossed my mind. I am not in the habit of eating in Lekki eateries because I have been disappointed 100 percent of the time. The food is usually all trash. These people don't have a passion for cooking, they are capitalists and so the food is always rubbish. I stopped eating out but my trusted go to if I want to eat out is chicken republic. And so I wasn't expecting Hilda's restaurant to be any different but I was hoping to be surprised. Secondly you think this is Europe where you walk up to them and tell them the food is trash ? You may not come out of there alive. Outside the restaurant sitting outside are like 6 looking rough strong men, I don't know if they are delivery drivers, then inside the restaurant another group of men who look like they would be happy to deal with you if you misbehave. You know the type ? Heavy beard gang with bandana. I think they are chefs or dish washers. So ermm terrible idea telling them the food sucks. You will be stripped naked and beaten up and thrown to the streets. Having said all that my review was for the rice I had and not the entire food they are cooking.

you are right though. maybe my tastebuds are different lol. i like those party jollof that is slighly burnt taste with a hint of bay leaves and savoury spices. this one i think they put small sugar inside and it had no flavours

HOW TO COOK YORUBA SOUP

1- Add water to the empty pot
2- add a full gallon of red oil
3- stir with plank, broom or firewood
4- add ewedu leaf or any strange leaf
5- add pepper
6- add pepper again
7- I say add pepper
8- put more pepper
9- Haba my friend I say put more pepper and stir again
10- add maggi and salt
11- add another round of pepper again
12- use wrapper from the house and bring down the pot
13- add pepper again.

Now the soup is ready!!!!. serve with amala and drum of water by your side and a big towel for catarrh 😊

Maybe if Afang, Editan and Atama leaves were planted in large quantities in Ogun, Osun and Oyo, the prices wouldn't be "ridiculously overpriced".
