Good morning Nairalanders, as the country inaugurate a new president I hope the new govt perform much better than the present one. However I will like to point out one or two things which make me ponder if religions do us more harm than good.
I have read some comments and post here and even screenshot some, that say Tinubu will not be sworn-in, where the self-acclaimed "pastors" or predictors even said unless there is not God that's when he will be inaugurated as the 16th president.
As far as I'm concerned, some of these people were told by their pastors or alfas and they believed those visions by hooks, line and sinker. There is nothing like God told anyone that Tinubu or any other person will not win or be sworn-in, rather it is the hatred they have for Tinubu that made them to be saying such a thing. The election was marred with irregularities though just like the past ones, as no election was truly free and fair in Nigeria, intact 2007 presidential election was adjudged the worst.
I think to kick APC out of power, a formidable opposition is needed just like outgoing and incoming presidents did, unless this is done, we will continue to be governed by the party we claim to hate for years to come.
