Death by William Butler Yeats

Nor dread nor hope attend
A dying animal;
A man awaits his end
Dreading and hoping all;
Many times he died,
Many times rose again.
A great man in his pride
Confronting murderous men
Casts derision upon
Supersession of breath;
He knows death to the bone -
Man has created death.

Personal Analysis with regards to Democracy in Nigeria:

Focus on the first Stanza, you will understand that give or take it doesn't matter what a man does...the inevitable is that the universe is a might field and what ever we do in Nigeria is so inconsequential. Nor dread, nor hope.....a dying country.

A lot of men with good intentions for the greatness of the people of this enclave have come and gone....men like Murtala Mohammed, Abiola MKO etc no matter how minute the goodness of their will might have been but the foolish majority of the people will end up killing all hopes. Many of such men has come and many will still come. It all must depend on a real national consciousness to say enough is enough: not on ethnic ground nor religious basis but for the good of the common man.

Nigerians are used to suffer now. The cliché is suffering and smiling. A good sense of the idiom is exemplified in most faces today. Nigerians know death to the bones. The killer Fulani cattler rearers, the terrorist religion extremist, the political assassin's and the vast secessionist across board even the daily youth cultist and ritualistic mayhem. We have created DEATH.

One must say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH going forward.
