It used to be profitable way back. Now, it's a different ball game. Was a dealer in 2001 to both MTN and Econet as it was known then. Some existing dealers are even loosing part of their investment because d magin is terribly low and if you have overheads that is spread all over it may not be funny. Most dealers now add sim card replacement to augment d bottom line.
On those offering seminar, ask them for their shops where they operate from and pay a visit there, you'll b shocked that 95% of them have failed in d rcharged card biz. They don't have any existing biz, they only survive on seminar. Ask questions and watch their response.
However, I don't discourage pple. I'm only putting d reality on d table. The fact remains that you'll only b working for d telecom companies. Period!
You may want to ask "Why are people still doing it? The best people to answer d question will b those who are still in d biz, so whoever is interested in d biz can seek one of the dealers in his neighbourhood. My investigation shows that most are groaning seriously and are looking for alternative businesses they could do. It's just like someone not satisfied with his employer complaining bitterly about his work. If you ask him why don't you leave the work? He would tell you he is still. There because he hasn't gotten a new job yet, so he needs dis one in d interim.
Some of us took d plunge and leave d mess for others. Life is about choices

page9 u just said it all. i use to be a distributor in 2006, making little profit then, in 2009 everything went bad, the profit margin was below 1% i was just working for the net-work providers. i left the biz in 2009 November, and got a good job. i'm still thinking of a biz to venture into, i dnt know what kind of biz to do. i knw the last biz that get across my mind is recharge cards biz. pple can recharge their phones nw without scatch card.
