There is no doubt that millions of Nigerians are going to sink deeper into crushing poverty with the careless removal of subsidy. If the subsidy money would be judiciously used, it would have been acceptable but we know those in power now have a history of extreme corruption. So, it will likely end up in their pockets!

My Igbo brothers and sisters, we didn't sign up for this. Everyone with common sense in Nigeria knew that Peter Obi and Ahmed Datti were the best hands to salvage Nigeria and put it on the pat of enduring growth but tribal bigots and those with selfish interests preferred someone with a disgusting past.

However, Igbos are one of the most resilient people on Earth. I have no doubt that Igbos will survive these locust years but we can even thrive regardless. We control commerce and significant part of the service industry. We have built branches of our businesses all over Africa and beyond, thereby reducing our reliance and exposure to Nigeria.

To the glory of God, we now mostly have credible governors who can better manage our resources and provide enabling environment for businesses to thrive. Based on our "onye ahala nwanne ya" ideology, we need to do the following:

1. Let's bring our investments home or at least make our region the hub of our investments/businesses.

2. Let's eschew greed and selfishness. If you're a business owner, do not hike prices arbitrarily because of subsidy removal.

3. Stop providing jobs and paying taxes in other places via investments when our states need it more.

4. Japa if you have the means and your brothers the way. Our Nnewi and Abriba people did this after the war and it helped their places to boom.

5. If you can provide help to the less privileged Igbos, please do. Many are currently suffering and finding it hard to eat. We are already the most philanthropic of all Nigerians but we can still do much better, especially in times like this.

6. Anybody telling you that Nigeria is one is a big liar. We are not one, have never been one and may never be one! So, let's be mindful of those we help or support in any way. One man Igbo man gave University of Ibadan one million dollars the other day and I was shocked. Why not UNN? Unizik? FUTO? Umudike among others in our region? This is just an example of how we give to those that hate us when our people need it more!

We are resilient people and we can triumph over the man-made disaster going on in Nigeria if only we decide to support ourselves!

Apart from Igbo people, Nigerians learn to survive even if they want to die. We learn things the hard way, which is not supposed to be so.

Why call it demonic when the government has not gone anywhere?

Igbos survived the war, Igbos survives marginalization, Igbos survives hates from tribalistic bigots. Igbos survives Nigeria government and their leaders who believe that leadership is their birthright. Igbos will continue to survive and defeat their haters and those that jealous them. Igbos will continue to be wonderful and would forever be the head even without aids from the useless government that sorround them.

Are you referring to the Yoruba woman who was beheaded in Saudi Arabia or others awaiting the hangman in their prisons?

Yorubas in Saudi Arabia prison are more than that of all Igbos and SS in the Middle East. So, you're not making sense.

Igbos are far more resilient than you guys and that's the bitter truth.

"one ibo man gave UI $1million", funny kids. He left all the schools in the east for a better quality standard in the SW. He appreciated the school that made him what he has become, likewise others who graduated from UI but never make noise about it in the media. I know how many ibos on the scholarship scheme of an organisation i engage and these are really poor ibos that genuinely needed help. I don't even want to talk about Otedola or Adenuga that have helped many ibo sportmen and celebrities. If you take the comments of these clowns seriously on social media, it'd discourage an intention to help that poor struggling iboman &woman in the neighbourhood.

Kiddo, for every one single Igbo man that needs help, there are 20 other yorubas in severe need of assistance.

Who is Otedola? The same man that was crying shamefully that Elumelu outsmarted him? Adeguna, a front for retired millitary men? Don't make me laugh abeg.

Hateful goons like you can't even help your fellow yorubas talk more of helping Igbos.

I pardon your foolishness, while you remain a worthless troll, i'd keep helping fellow Nigerians who came from their region homeless, jobless, and hopeless.
We were waiting for Elumelu to deny Otedola's claim but he's too ashamed of himself, backstabbing someone that trust you and helped you when you were once down is nothing but an act of cowardice. Elumelu himself says the only two persons he follows on SM are Otedola & his wife but an mkpurumiri nonentity like you opens your mouth to say "who is Otedola"

Go and pardon your parents foolishness for inculcating hate in you. See who is talking, who dash monkey banana? Have you helped all your family members, friends and relatives before looking for Igbos to assist? A hateful person like you won't help others even if you're in a position to help.

Elumelu ignored Otedola's childish tantrums because he is too big to start engaging in social media fight. Silence is the best answer for a fool and that's what Elumelu did!

Hungry dolt claiming billionaire on nairaland. Get lost, dumbo.

You talk as if IGBOS are beggars but even you know BETTER, off you start counting tribes by the number of beggars in them, you know IGBOS will be last, I don't normally join these tribal arguments but things like you have to be told the truth, there are Yorubas who studied at unn and are successful, how many of them had done anything for that school? The person who gave the money to ui gave his money and no one has the right to tell him what he will do with his money but when things like you begin to talk like you are doing, you will be called out, stop thinking with your fingers
