Simple....when prices go up after June 30, the marketers would now be buying petrol at higher prices.

At the end, better start making money now to pay for petrol at higher prices from July 1....by raising prices, or the money you make selling fuel at subsidised prices won't be enough to pay the new price.

In case you miss it, Buhari didn't include the fuel subsidy component in the approved budget for 2023 he sent to the National Assembly. FYI, the budget covers June 2023 - June 2024.

Stop piling the blame on Tinubu. It's really sad that the majority of Nigerians know nothing about governance; little wonder they keep electing clown lawmakers. Where was everyone when the lawmakers signed the budget? I mean Buhari cooked a budget without subsidy, no one batted an eye; now that the budget is about kick in after 6 months, una begin wail. Why is there subsidy... You guys are just enabling these guys because of politics to steal us blind. The prices isn't going up in the international market. These fluctuations is due to subsidy. Provision for subsidy was made for June, it wasn't paid. Bro that money has been pocketed... Naija will be great again

Yeah, and when the subsidy goes, and the subsidised fuel finishes, they still have to buy fuel at higher prices next month.

If they do not make money now, they won't have enough to buy fuel at the new prices next month...and you know that means scarcity.
