What Can You Remember How It Was Sold In Nigeria Before? by Chifriend(m): 5:45pm On Jun 01, 2023 |
Me I can remember in the middle and late 90s, I used to follow my mother to the market as a kid, Garri that is now 1cup/N100 was sold N1/cup then. Like 1cup = One Naira (N1). Other things were still sold for 50kobo. How time flies. How bad things have become. Chai! Who really destroyed Nigeria? 1 Like |

Keep lamenting and idlying away reminiscing on a fake period of our overdependence on oil when most people were lazy, unproductive having children they expected govt to feed, train and educate. Some where even bursting oil pipelines in Niger Delta then and kidnapping oil workers just to get free money. Smh Diesel was over 1000 almost throughout last year and early this year but it's now less than N600, you will not see that because you are not really in the productive sector of the economy. Smh That era of locust years are gone! 1 Like |

FreeStuffsNG: You can never cease to amaze people with your display of foolery. Bro, you can be a supporter of a political party or politician and still maintain your sanity.. You must not become such a fool in defending bad government and politicians who do not even care about your miserable existence. Go and think about it. 4 Likes |

You guys are making reference of cost of items for a very long time ago. Before Buhari's administration in 2015, I used to buy a loaf of bread that sustain every member of my family (family size) at N400. But today it's sold at N1200. A bag of semovita then was N2100, but today it's sold at N7k. A bag of local rice everybody is struggling to buy today at almost 30k was sold at 6k while foreign bag of rice then was sold at 9k, but today foreign rice is sold at over 60k. All to mention but few. I know borders were closed against foreign rice but even if borders were open for foreign rice today, the price can never ever near the original price, even local rice price will not crash. All there are happening on 8 years of APC rulership who had been blaming PDP for maladministration for 16 years. I wonder the type of leader that will panel beat the accidented economy which APC have damaged almost beyond repairs while hellbent on ruling Nigeria. God will surely save us from the disaster we are in. |

FeelGoodAlways:Democracy did not destroy any thing. Things did not start getting bad in 1999. Military era was one of the most corrupt eras in Nigeria history. It was crude oil that covered their shame. Corruption, nepotism, religious extremism and tribalism destroyed Nigeria. Democracy is the only form of government that can work in Nigeria. |
