Just in one day, two mischievous and untrue headlines on Nairaland from the court process of today:

1. Tribunal Steps Down Obi, LP Petition Over Inconsistencies https://www.nairaland.com/7711393/pept-steps-down-obi-lp

2.Judges Order Peter Obi’s Legal Team To Go Home
https://www.nairaland.com/7711691/judges-order-peter-obis-legal

Both reported by funny and unverified sources.

Meanwhile below are evidences from live participants that called out the publications. Now why would anyone publish two headlines concluding outcomes from an ongoing court session?

Seun, you should live up to your statements of wanting to make Nairaland apolitical. Please take down those frontpage headlines.

A registered and popular Newspaper house with specialized editors who have legal backgrounds for courtroom reporting makes a publication and all you can do is to counter it with the Tweet of a stupid girl whose only qualification to have a say on the matter is a blue Tick.

From the story in the screenshot, what the Twitter user described is called "stepping down /standing down" a case in legal parlance. Stepping down a case is similar to adjournment. However, the difference is that adjournment means the case will be continued on another day, while stepping down a case means the case will be continued after some minutes or hours the same day.

The court is not a playground. It is a place for serious business. If nobody is ready to address a judge regarding a matter, when the judge says " fix your shit and address me when you're ready later in the day" it means the judge has stepped down the case.

What's the cause of mass hysteria then?

Are you held down here at gun point? If you are not, but you keep weeping, crying, and wailing, then you need psychiatric evaluation.

Even a half brained person can tell that you copied this information above from somewhere and I can argue with the reasoning of the writer. I also see the experience in his writing and the point he made. This regular "legal parlance" he explained is different from the impression created out of the news headline at the front page conversations by your abusive likes interpreting it as that the LP legal team were stupid, made a mockery of in the court room and chased away. Lol.

Look at your own different style of reasoning and viewpoint in the next post you made right below this copy and paste. So empty and abuse.

Run a plagiarism check if you'll see the information I posted drafted like I did anywhere else on the internet. It came straight outta my head because I'm a practicing lawyer.

The problem with you guys is that you think that you're special yet victimized, outstanding yet persecuted, victorious but cheated and intelligent yet unheard.

But the reality is that no serious person out there gives a fvck about a group of naive uninformed flock who are incapable of critical thinking. Put differently, throw your narcissism complex into a trash can and leave it there for incineration.

Let's face it. No judge of the tribunal rates Obi as highly as obidîots do. His case isn't different from what we've seen since 1999. In fact, it is the weakest of all we've seen since 99' because this is the freest election of the 4th Republic and Nigeria's contemporary democratic spell.

Nairaland should avoid Daily Post because it carries mostly fake news, they feature statements from Isiguzoro the one man band Ohaneze World Wide faction as the opinion of Igbos while ignoring the authentic Ohaneze Ndigbo led by Chief Iwuanyanwu and Ogbonnia as Sec General.
Daily Post should be banned from FP
Mynd44 and nlpfmod take note

Of course, because you copied it from a WhatsApp group. Plagiarism check ko. You can't be a practicing learned lawyer and be using "F" words and being abusive all over to drive your point. Is that how they taught you to prove your point as a lawyer??

People dread to engage the fact and issues based intelligence of 'real' lawyers my friend.
