Stand out..

In life, it's always good to weigh up every decisions we might want to take with necessary and thought provoking questions..

Your actions must be weighed and analyzed before its been carried out..

What am about to communicate is not me wanting to talk you to see reasons or buy my opinion, rather it's for you to see a dimension of the decisions we take in life and how it affects us as individuals..

In the polytechnic system of education in Nigeria, when a student is being offered admission into the institution. He or she is expected to go through an event known as Matriculation.. This event entails the investituture of the student into the school.. The student is now seen as a bona-fide students of the school. Although this is the same with universities in the country, but as it relates the polytechnic, there is a further Matriculation for student who are furthering to for their HND program..

Thus, the need for all ND1 and HND1 fresher to be Matriculated on a date set aside by the school..

But when it comes to HND1 Students to be Matriculated, there is a poor turnout of attendance..

I ask myself,

Why?...

Why the poor response to students who have been qualified and deemed fit to grace an event absent themselves..

I realized that it is what some have come to believe about such an event..

They believe the one they did in ND 1 was enough and that doing another matric will make friends and families start asking if they have graduated..

Some say that matric is for ND 1 students and not for HND 1..

Then it leads me to analyze this situation..

When we gain admission in an Tertiary institution, we attend class, do class activities such as test, quiz and others.. Then after some months of lectures, Time table will be released for exams..

We walk and structure our reading to help us prepare better for our exams so we can pass in flying colors..

All these things are systems set by the school which we follow, and then we say we can do our own things the way we want to do..

My dear students this is not true.. I Believe if you were congratulated in ND 1 YOU DESERVE TO BE CONGRATULATED in HND1 TOO!!..

If you have done well in school for first semester in school and your name appears in the Dean list, and the next semester you maintain or even exceeded your previous GPA, will you forbid your acknowledgement because you were celebrated last semester..

If you do well you earn and deserve it..

Don't allow anybody talk you out of what you know is the right thing to do.. Stand out and be different..
