Some people said said dangote is a monopoly I laughed at their ignorance only God know the school they attend
Bua Lafarge Chem sell huge percentage of cement in west Africa
Dangote is in control if cement price in Nigeria. What BUA,Lafarge,Ashaka and others r producing is less than Dangote obajana production not to mention the millions of tons Dangote is pushing out at Ibese plant
Incase u don't know Dangote cement at Okpela Edo state will soon start production and another one is coming at Itori very close to lafarge

Was there any monopoly in Nigeria's market?
As of March 2021, DPR published the number of valid refinery project licences that stood at 23 and some childry of hate and perdition will come to social media crying monopoly when in reality GEJ gave them licences and access to CBN loans in billions of naira but ended up importing oil instead of building the refineries but when others who aren't among them building they cry monopoly, always crying on others progress. What a daft set of subhumans!
These are the licensed modular and mega refineries:
1 . Waltersmith Refining & Petrochemical Company Limited Ibigwe Imo
2 OPAC Refineries Umuseti, Kwale Delta
3 . Niger Delta Petroleum Resources (Train 3) Ogbele Rivers
4 . Dangote Oil Refinery Company Lekki Free Trade Zone Lagos
5 . Edo Refinery and Petrochemical Company limited Ikpoba-Okha L.G.A. Edo
6 . Lowrie Refinery Limited Ika North LGA Delta
7 . Excel Refinery Limited Peretorugbene Community,
Ekeremor L.G.A, Bayelsa
8 . Conodit Refinery Nigeria Limited Umukwata Delta
9 . Duport Midstream Egbokor, Orhionmwon L.G.A. Edo
10 . Clairgold Oil & Gas Engineering Limited Koko Delta
11 . Ogini Refinery Limited Ogini, Kwale , Delta
12 . Etopo Energy Plc Burutu Delta
13 . Gasoline Associates International Limited Ipokia Ogun
14 . NPDC/ND WESTERN OML 34 JV OML 34 field,
Ughelli East, Ughelli North LGA, Delta
15 . Frao Oil Nigeria Limited Uzere Delta
16 . Kingdom Global Trading Petroleum & Gas Nig.
Ltd. Okwagbe, Ughelli, South L.G.A
Delta
17 . Resource Petroleum & Petrochemicals International
Incorporated Ibeno Akwa Ibom
18 Gazingstock Petroleum Company Limited Abalagada Community, Ndokwa East LGA, Delta
19 . Amakpe International Refineries Limited Ibeno, Eket Akwa Ibom
20 . Atlantic International Refineries and Petrochemical Limited
Okpoama, Brass, Bayelsa
21 . Azikel Petroleum Limited Obunagha, Yenagoa L.G.A Bayelsa
22 . Allegiance Energy and Power Limited Esit EketAkwa Ibom Stats
23 . Alexis Refinery Limited Aboh, Ndokwa East L.G.A

But between 2015-2023 only 4 modular refineries have started operation in Nigeria:
1. Niger Delta Petroleum Resources modular refinery, Rivers state
2. OPAC modular Refinery, Delta state
3. WalterSmith Refinery Limited, Imo state
4. Edo Refinery and Petrochemical Ltd.
And 2 Mega refineries:
1.Dangote Refinery which was recently commissioned and
2. BUA refinery in Akwa Ibom which is coming up next year.

On the other hand we have many cement factories in Nigeria like:
1. Dangote Cement Company Plc
2. Lafarge Cement Wapco Nigeria Plc
3. Bua Group
4. Ashaka Cement
6. Sokoto Cement
8. Atlas Cement among few others

Dangote and BUA Cement companies are popular because of their quality, especially Dangote Cement which is currently the only company producing 52.5 grade cement in the country, which it sells at the same price as its 42.5 grade cement. Most other manufacturers in Nigeria were manufacturing to the 32.5 grade.

Do we need to always accuse others always because of ethno-religious bigotry?

They cannot handle the truth.

It punctures their stereotypes of the North and Northerners. The notion of Northern excellence irritates their eyes and eardrums.

Usually they’d claim monopoly and favoritism whenever Northern business excellence is showcased in the exploits of Dangote, but what is there to say when another northerner, BUA, is doing similar business exploits while directly competing against Dangote in Cement, Sugar and Mega-refining Nigeria’s crude among others? No wonder the entire thread has been quiet as a graveyard.

BUA, through sheer brainpower and business acumen, privately attracts over half a billion Dollars FDI to Sokoto (hot on the heels of Dangote’s multi-billion $ mega-refinery commissioning); creating over 12,000 jobs that would benefit not just northerners, but many Nigerians across different fields and ethnicities (yet one 🤡 was asking if it would feed any almajiri).

This project with multiplier effects, would boost the IGR of the state and add to national GDP. Kudos to Abdulsamad Rabiu for bringing true development to Sokoto and various other places across Nigeria.

I'm telling u bro.
If Innoson was a Northerner they would've been making noise accusing govt of removing subsidy to force Nigerians to buy his CNG vehicles.
