Can You Still have Faith In Times Of Economic Crises? by DyshApp: 5:32pm On Jun 08, 2023
Open one of the news apps on your phone. How many of the top stories relate to the cost-of-living crisis, the current global financial recession, poverty, unemployment, or famine in some parts of the world? List four or five adjectives describing how these headlines make you feel.

There isn't a lot of good news right now when it comes to the economy. You may be worrying about your personal finances or the financial well-being of someone in your family or community.

In this session, Busola Sodeinde encourages us to look to scripture and all that it teaches us about our generous God, who is able to provide for us supernaturally. No matter how bleak your current or future outlook is. may you be strengthened by the knowledge that you can draw upon the currency of your faith in God.

According to Busola, our faith in God is a currency to be drawn upon, especially when the future looks bleak. God's people. throughout scripture. exercised their faith and expected supernatural provision from God to meet their needs. Which Bible characters immediately come to mind when you think of men and women who trusted God to provide?

Hebrews 11 specifically credits some of these well-known biblical figures for their faith. Do you agree with Busola that we can exhibit the same faith and expect the same miracles they experienced? Why, or why not?

Busola says. "This faith is a unique currency used by Christians all over, which can be substituted for the natural order of events when required.' What does this mean?
How would you explain to a teenager how he or she might harness the currency of faith in times of uncertainty?
