I need your advice on this
I just started working and the pay is okay for a single lady.
My father then called me and was like calculated my salary (he knows how much we earned cause his friend is my boss )
So back to the matter,he called he to tell me to assist in his responsibilities by sending money to my siblings for their upkeep and other things in school.
I was like that's not my line ,I didn't give birth to my siblings so why will I take the responsibilities for them while you are still alive.
Guys what should I do concerning this.

As a first son i have spent alot on my parents and siblings reason is i can't look them struggling it pains me deep down.
To your question, it not by force to help your family but if you know you have the financial ability to render small help try and help them, but if you are not capable then you will not kill yourself. Help if you know you can and if the relationship in family is not too bad. We don't know tomorrow.

Don't enter wetin you no go fit do, my advice render help as at when due between intervals like 3 months or 4 months.

Always complain that one thing or the other have taken money from you, even though nothing happened.

Give them stuff during festive season.

For their eyes to be off your salary, look for a productive venture to inject your money for example buy land and start a housing project, with this them go comot eye for your salary because them know before you finish the house your body go tell you and you go owe on top.

But the gain is yours so you have what to fall on incase of job loss, let the house be for rentage, you can also stay there. The rentage part is so you will be making some money off the property too. .

This is how the Poverty life cycle works. OP, hope your papa is not planning to have more kids this one wey him dey offload some of his responsibilities onto you like this. Plenty Nigerian parents are not to be handled without gloves.

I remember back then in university when my dad said whoever continues to birth children at his then age was just birthing responsibilities for his older offsprings. Me kukuma answered him straight up that that's not true, the person is just birthing additional responsibilities for himself. Geskia.

Dont fight with your dad o. Just maintain that your siblings are not your responsibilities but you will happily support them when you can. Meanwhile, from time to time please send them something.....and dont forget to still be asking your dad for money too. For instance, let him know you're interested in furthering your education or qualification and bill him accordingly.
