The Central Bank of Nigeria has allowed commercial banks to freely trade foreign exchange at any rate.



The announcement comes after Godwin Emefiele’s suspension as CBN’s governor.

You can go and get dollars at your bank now. Black market will no longer be the only marketers.


Banks have been directed to supply dollars to everybody. Difference will be highest 4 naira with black market

This is ending banks round tripping after getting at lower CBN rate

What you buy is what you sell,no more insider connection to trade in dollar.So,those banks with poor dollar withdrawal services from foreign remittances needs to upgrade now or customers take their businesses elsewhere

Wow, wonderful. The nonsense emefele policy affect we that buy goods from abroad. The price you get goods will be calculated by 430 by you end spend 760 on exchange. If a goods is 1m naira, you will end up spending over 2m to purchase it at 1m naira. It kill business
