Undeniable Proofs that the Christian God Is the Creator of the Universe We believe that God does exist. The proofs of God's existence abound around us. Of recent, I have been captivated by the subjects of the Invisible Human Conscience, Intuition and Universally Accepted and Unwritten Moral Laws that are accompanied with such divine judgements from an invisible court resulting in both Nemesis and Providence. Except you can empirically explain all these phenomenon, it would be foolish to conclude that there is no God. Personally, I have witnessed staggering miracles, and I have read countless testimonies here on Nairaland, but my belief in the existence of God hinges majorly on personal encounters. There are encounters and experiences professed by almost everyone who has some forms of religious belief. Reasons why the adherents of the numerous faiths hold tightly to what they worship, and are unable to shift grounds in preference for any other object of worship. Meanwhile, there are some who confess to having never experienced anything spiritual in their lives. There are others who deliberately deny their spiritual experiences for reasons best known to them. These call themselves Atheists. Everyone has at one time or the other heard of unbelievable miracles and supernatural experiences from professed followers of the various faiths that inundate the earth. A great number of these experiences are true. There are numerous true life stories even here on this forum. These beggars some 3 important questions: (i) are there many Gods worthy of worship? (ii) Is there only one God worthy of worship? (iii) Whose God or gods are the true God? There are many proofs that the Bible's God is the true God. This thread would be dedicated to only one proof. Subsequent threads would focus on other proofs, one after the other. Object of Proof 1 The true God or gods is/are supposed to be the Creator(s) of the Universe. You would agree with me that whoever created the universe should be able to exercise some controls over the nations. He should be able to wield power and determine the fate of powerful nations and kings. Any God who can do this is indeed the Creator of the world. The God of the Bible gave His verdict against Babylon when its people and its king offended. 1, Babylon Would Be Destroyed and Shall Never Rise Again[.b] Babylon was a world power, just as the USA is today. At the height of their glory, they became proud and haughty, and reveled in too much wickedness and idol worship. God got very angry with the nation and declared: [b]And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans’ pride, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall shepherds make their flocks to lie down there. And wolves shall cry in their castles, and jackals in the pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.' Isaiah 13:22 The Bible specifically stated that Babylon would be destroyed by Persians and Medes who were militarily and politically insignificant at the time of the declaration. Today, that powerful nation has been destroyed and has never been rebuilt for more than 2,500yrs. It is currently a swampy place inhabited by wild animals. Its current fate is exactly as it was predetermined by the God of the Bible. Archaeologists excavated Babylon during the 1800s. Some parts of the city could not be dug up because they were under a water table that had risen over the years. This events were pre-written between 701-681 BC. 2. Egypt Shall Be Abased and Shall Never Rise to Rule the Nations Anymore Ancient Egypt was one of the greatest nations of the earth in those days. In its heydays, Egypt ruled over many nations and was a formidable force to reckon with in the world. The Pharaohs were feared and respected for many centuries until they sinned against the Creator God who pronounced a sentence of judgment upon the nation. [b]Egypt shall be the lowliest of kingdoms; it shall never again exalt itself above the nations, for I will diminish them so that they will not rule over the nations anymore.[/b[ Ezekiel 29:15 The sentence was made against Egypt between 592BC and 570BC, at a time when the country was still very powerful. The execution of this sentence was deemed impossible. Today, the sentence has been executed. The lowliest nations of the world are regarded as third world countries. Egypt, an ancient world power is today a third world country and has lost its glory for millennials. The Creator of the world had sealed her fate. He did exactly what He said He would do. 3. Assyria Shall Be Destroyed. It shall Never Rise Again As it is with every kingdom built by man. the moment they reach astronomical heights of glory and splendor, they grow arrogant and start disregarding the almighty God. Assyria also followed the same destructive path and was not spared the judgement of the Almighty. In 614BC, the Almighty God gave His voice against Nineveh, Assyria's Capital: Nahum 1:8-9: "..but with an overwhelming flood He will make an end of Nineveh. He will pursue his foes into darkness. What do they plot against the LORD? He will bring to an end; trouble will not come a second time." Many empires have lost and regained power, including Babylon, which played a key role in conquering Nineveh. But, like God said 2,600 years ago, Nineveh never rose to power again. 4. Tyre Would Be attacked By Many Nations. It Would Be Scraped and Made Bare In Ezekiel 26:3, the prophet said that Tyre, the Phoenician Empire's most powerful city, would be attacked by many nations, because of its treatment of Israel. At about the time that Ezekiel delivered this prophecy, Babylon had begun a 13-year attack on Tyre's mainland. Later, in about 332 BC, Alexander the Great conquered the island of Tyre and brought an end to the Phoenician Empire. Here is Ezekiel 26:3: "...therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, O Tyre, and I will bring many nations against you, like the sea casting up its waves. In Ezekiel 26:4, God said the buildings of Tyre would be ripped down and that the rubble would be scraped away. This happened in two stages. The Babylonians destroyed the mainland of Tyre during an attack that ended in 573 BC. Then, Alexander the Great attacked the island of Tyre in 333-332 BC. Alexander's army scraped the rubble from the mainland and tossed it into the sea, building a land bridge to the island to conquer it. During the centuries after Alexander's conquest of Tyre, the Greeks, Romans, Crusaders and Arabs came to the area of Tyre and put up their own buildings on or near the site of the original Phoenician Tyre. In doing this, the workers had to remove rubble from the original Phoenician Tyre. Unknowingly, they were fulfilling the verdicts of Devine judgements against Tyre. Here is Ezekiel 26:4: They will destroy the walls of Tyre and pull down her towers; I will scrape away her rubble and make her a bare rock. Again, the sentence was executed to the letter. Who wouldn't fear such a God? Even more staggering is the fact that God pronounced that Phoenician Tyre would never again be found. In Ezekiel 26:21, God said that the Phoenician city of Tyre would be brought to an end and would never again be found! When Alexander the Great destroyed the city in 332 BC, he brought an end to the Phoenician Empire. The Empire was never revived or "found" again. As for the city itself, it has been torn down and built upon by a succession of foreign powers. Today, even finding artifacts from the original Phoenician Tyre is difficult. According to the Columbia Encyclopedia, Fifth Edition: "The principal ruins of the city today are those of buildings erected by the Crusaders. There are some Greco-Roman remains, but anything left by the Phoenicians lie underneath the present town." Let no man deceive you. The God of the Bible, He is the God of the universe. Many divine sentences were fulfilled on Tyre including the casting of its stones, timber and soil into the sea. In Ezekiel 26:12, God gave His sentence that Tyre's stones, timber and soil would be thrown into the sea.. Alexander the Great built a land bridge from the mainland to the island of Tyre, when he attacked in 333-332 BC. Alexander's forces took rubble from Tyre's mainland and tossed it - stones, timber and soil - into the sea, to build the land bridge (which is still there). 5. Israel Shall Be Scattered Abroad but Shall be Re-gathered in the Latter Days Israel was not always in Palestine as they are there today. That was their original abode but they were dispersed and scattered globally in AD 70 after the Romans sacked the city of Jerusalem. This sacking was preciously described 500yrs before it happened. The book of Daniel painted a super accurate timeline of the events leading to the destruction of Jerusalem. The scattering and the re-gathering of Israel is an often repeated statement of the Bible, mentioned in a multitude of passages. The Jews were globally dispersed for 1,900 years since AS 70, and yet, during that time they were able to retain their cultural and religious identity. In recent years, they were reestablished as a nation against all odds. This would be about as likely as the Native Americans being given back their land in the United States! In fact, that would be more likely—given the fact that the Native Americans were not globally dispersed for almost two millennia. Let’s consider the verdict that the Bible makes in this regard. Below are two verses that spoke about the re-gathering of Israel. Is. 11:11-12 Then it will happen on that day that the Lord will again recover the second time with His hand the remnant of His people, who will remain, from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. 12 And He will lift up a standard for the nations, and will assemble the banished ones of Israel, and will gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. In 1948, after the Balfour declaration, the re-gathering of Israel began and Israel became a nation again in 1948 after 1,900yrs. Till today, the Jews are still being re-garthered back to Palestine. If you want to know to which extent they would reclaim their ;lands from the encroaching Arabs, read the verse below: Jer. 31:38-40 “Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the city will be rebuilt for the LORD from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate. The measuring line will go out farther straight ahead to the hill Gareb; then it will turn to Goah. And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to the LORD; it will not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever.” Israel is still reclaiming lands in Palestine. Even though they're small in number and are hemmed in by enemy nations all around. He who has goatherd them has promised them a large portion and has declared that the nation would never again be overthrown forever. Only the Almighty Creator could have designed both the destruction and re-gathering of a nation and make the re-gathering happen against all odds after 1,900yrs of dispersion. There are more than 100 sentences and verdicts in the Bible that the Lord God had made against several nations including Edom, Moab, Philistia, Greece, Ammon. Syria, Rome, etc.. Many have had literal fulfilments in history while a few are still future things God would do in the latter days.. You just need to read the actual Biblical verses and go confirm from history and archeology yourself. You would be stunned by the degree of accurate fulfilments. No God created universe.it beat my imagination that in 21th century some people are still believing there's a God up there in the sky. The bitter truth is that, God, Satan or Jesus Christ doesn't exist. There's no verifiable recognizable concretable approvable evidence of their existence. No man Born of woman has ever proof the existence of God.
