When growing up as a kid and going to the stadium to watch Bendel insurance fc matches ,a certain player Rowland Ewere who was captain of the team then stood out.

Rowland Ewere rescued Bendel insurance fc in many dicey moments and he was captain of the Insurance team that won the WAFU tournament thrice and the CAF Cup competition.
Other notable mention of the insurance team are Mfom Bassey who is unarguably one of the best attackers Bendel insurance have ever produced,Peter obanor Alhassan Mohammed etc.
I think Edo state Government should organise a ceremony to celebrate these insurance fc past players as this will spur the younger players playing now that they will never be forgotten if they play very well for the team .
