You will be in control of executive positions, you appoint your tribesmen to juicy positions, site massive industries and infrastructure in your tribal area, supress other tribes you don't like, make policies that will favor your tribe and protect them from being accountable for their evils.

It only matters to lazy and unfulfilled people. No one had an input to their ethnicity and religion, Fate already decided that for you.

The fact that politicians could exploit that in Nigerian to loot the common wealth shows how shallow the average Nigerian is
