When I say direct forms, I mean in such ways that the subsidies will have direct impact on the Nigerian people. How can the government do this?

(1) Government can partner with Dangote fertilizer processing and other fertilizer processing plants, give them tax concessions and the fertilizer companies will distribute fertilizer to rural farmers every planting season, government should also invest in agricultural consultants, to teach farmers of the best way to prevent failing crops. It's better we take charge, than allow foreign companies who want to maximize profits, feed us with GMO, GMO is one of the reasons of fertility issues in men abroad, we need to maintain natural crops.

(2) State governors can invest in power generation, since Tinubu has signed the bill, invest in it, and bring in proffesionals to run it, government will only gain profits and taxes down the line, so that electricity can be everywhere and affordable, with this, Nigerians can set up business quickly, from IT skills, to carpentry, electricity is critical. With abundant electricity Nigerians don't need to buy fuel to run generators (this forms the bulk of fuel consumed in Nigeria), and the price will come down with reduced demand. if governors invest in this, I promise you in the next 5 years Nigeria will be Africa's Dubai.

(3) Ensure security for easy movement of farm produce. Security is critical. The more produce in the market, the more supply and this moderate prices naturally.

If electricity is available, the average Nigerian don't need fuel, and this will reduce expenses for the average Nigerian, naturally prices will come down generally...this will also bring down the price of fuel (low demand), will automatically reduce or stabilize price, this is a given. Nigerians reduce the urge for expensive imported goods, this destroys the naira, we too can do a lot to grow our economy by our choices and lifestyle.
