If anybody come with any narrative of women "operating in their full powers", and it doesn't stand to the test of sensibility, whether they decide to elaborate on what they mean or not, best believe my "likes" will be there to counter it.

Deal with it! Highest you will do is not to respond. But your post will not just be there, unchallenged.

Yeah. Every 'beautiful' woman in the real world is surely living a dandy life full of roses.

And like every woman from all ages have been operating in their full power and yet, we're here.

Hope you know that staying fit is not staying slim? grin

And I hope you know being wealthy is not the same as having 50m and rides or a ride alone? tongue

You're right sha.

The first time I came across the OP's moniker, I mistook her for the other Gemi nita too.

When I saw the monicker, I checked the Dp on the profile and that's not my babe at all.

Geminita1 you are right we should normalize wearing our natural hair. I miss the old days i'd rock my "into four parts" my mom plaits for me, the koroba style and shuku too grin . I miss packing my hair with that black rubber too grin . These days it's hard rocking your hair without someone asking you to go braids or someone looking at you like a suffer head. grin My hair is now 12 inches long at the front, 10 at the back and very full but can I just style it and attend a function without coming off as odd and not presentable to Brazilian wig or bone straight hair rockers?
That's really the point. The more relaxed we are with our hair the more stylish we would become with it. My getting familiarized with natural hair has made see the oddness in Brazilian wigs and others. It's just off. Like I'm looking at us with an "external eye" and wondering why we are okay being second best.

Being the only group of women to "put on hair" just to look presentable isn't cute. You know, we have hair, why are we acting like we don't? Hair is a huge part of femininity, why are we acting like we need other ethnic group of women's to have hair on our head when we have ours?

I'll say that women like you are just years ahead of the rest. The rest would catch on, I hope or continue being second best.

I can't wait for the day we would look back and celebrate weaves and wigs as old fashioned ways of beautifying ourselves. And laugh hard at how seriously we tried to attain some type of beauty when we were just so beautiful.

Lol we really have a long way to go as Nigerians. I know other women aren't as obsessed with covering natural hair as we are.
Thank goodness, you choose to see what is plain and not argue with it like some are trying hard to do here.

On staying fit, lol may God help me. I know the truth but I have refused to allow it set me free. Thank God for good genes grin grin grin if not I would have ended up a baby elephant. I talk about working out more than I really work out lipsrsealed . I'm going to change this by fire by force Amen. embarassed *sips coke and munch solid fufu*
Amen and cheers to your effort πŸ₯‚ One thing that always keeps me in check is the price I have to pay for neglecting my looks. It's too huge. You can go from a 10 to a 4 if you let anything pass through your mouth. It might look cool but there are consequences. We all have the right to look as bad as we want but we can't dictate for society how we get treated afterwards.

Yes, fortunately, our hair can be straightened too. And little hair pieces added if need be. But turning everything artificial is just off the mark.
Even bald haired can be pretty when styled properly. Or better still grown out to increase femininity.

i believe that even straightening your natural hair is somewhow the desire to look white...

They're about to call you a pick me.

The problem isn't that BW wear wigs/weaves, the issue is that the hair usually preferred isn't our natural textures. Bw wouldn't be mocked and it wouldnt be so controversial if they wear wigs that matched their natural hair.

Wear hair that look like you could have grown it. No lavish colours or ridiculous lengths.

BW could actually be the best looking race of women if only we become at peace with how we naturally look like. Our beauty is unique.

A lazy man can be wealthy.. wealth must not come from hardwork.

An inheritance can make a lazy man wealthy

And he looses all that wealth in the next generation. For you to amass wealth, you need to have a high financial IQ.

But here you are redefining the beauty standard for all Nigerian women, and insisting that women who do not do as you suggest are wrong. lipsrsealed

We need the right mirror to see how beautiful we are.
