(Video) APC, Tinubu Ask Tribunal To Dismiss APM’s Petition Against Presidential Election

The 2023 Nigerian Presidential Election was a historic one, with the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari seeking reelection against a number of challengers. Among these challengers was the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), which fielded a candidate named Adekunle Akinlade. After the election, Akinlade and the APM filed a petition against the results, alleging irregularities and seeking to have the election overturned.

In response to this petition, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and one of its leaders, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, have asked the tribunal to dismiss the APM’s case. According to the APC and Tinubu, the APM’s petition lacks merit and is without any legal basis.
