Nigerian political scene is really interesting. Not quiet long, Asari Dokubo accused the military of oil theft in the Niger Delta before the entire world, using a press conference, in a venue that is exclusively reserved for the Commander in Chief. Regardless the weak rebuttal from both the Army and Navy, one will not expect everything to just go down without some show of drama.
Less than three days later, a video of Asari Dokubo brandishing a weapon and threatening to wipe out the Igbo nation surfaced online. Take a moment and observe the timing. That video was done last year, during the heat of the electoral campaign, last year. Check the date and verify. Why did it suddenly resurfaced online again? Why Now? what is the purpose?
It's simple, to stoke up ethnic tension, using the Igbo as a smoke screen, while they strike from behind.
This is my personal deduction to the whole charade. There could be some very aggrieved fellows who could be angling for vengeance, but wouldn't want to do so because of the consequences or possible backlash. Remember, Asari has Presidential backing now. He is 100 percent backed by the government. Watch that his press conference again, observe the insignia behind him, it was a complete authorized and signed by the powers, press conference.
So, these individuals knowing if they strike, all fingers will be pointed at them, had to activate plan B by resurfacing an old video and trending it again. Once the Igbos are roped in a feud with Asari, then they can strike, without trace, and then all eyes will be on Igbos. Remember how they eliminated Adaka Boro, then pin it on Biafrans. Till date, the average Ijawman believes Adaka Boro was killed by Igbos.
My suggestion to Igbos, please, Ignore Asari Dokubo. Let him rant on. Don't get yourself embroiled in a battle planned and prepared by your enemies. Whoever that is trending that video is an enemy to ndi Igbo. This is the reality. Whatever that will obliterate ndi Igbo and make them more hated is a living sacrifice to this people. They love it and desire it so much.
We should be smart to avoid unnecessary baiting. Sometimes, we act like we are deaf, just to stay focus. The objective is the Tribunal.
As for Asari, his time will come. Any man that plays god on earth always have his time. Nebuchadnezzar, Hitler, Mussolini, Napoleon, etc, were men that played god, but when the heavens remembered them, their judgment was swift and precise. Let him keep insulting Igbos and claiming super man , when his time comes, he will go like a mere mortal that he is, the sure way of every human on this planet. Leave him to nature, so it takes it's course.
Igbos, avoid online banter. It is for our own good.

Anti Igbo sentiment is like an opium to the average Nigerian. It is like a stimulant they crave. Watch how anti Igbo sentiment will keep getting intense, fueled by propaganda from a certain group. One of the objective is to divert attention from governance or policies that directly affects Nigerian.
Everybody will be shouting Igbo Igbo Igbo, while things keeps getting worst, and inflation spiking out of the roof.
One way to divert attention is push anti Igbo news, videos and anything to sway public opinion.
Don't fall for their trap.

My question is must Igbo's always respond to every barking at them?

Is it today Asari has been running his mouth, so why taking him seriously this time?

You guys have pressing issues affecting your region than to be wasting time on the inconsequential Asari who is only after his stomach not even his own people

Why though. Look introspectively and tell us why the whole country has a problem with Igbo? At this point it is looking like Igbo are the problem.

The only thing that unite Nigerians is hate for Igbos.

Asari pig know what he's doing.

If you want Yoruba Muslim and Northerners to love you, just show them that you hate Igbos.

Yes, Igbos are the problem, because they have been in power since 1966 and making policies that directly affects you as a Nigerian.
In fact since 1999, at the return of democracy, Igbos hijack power, both executive, legislature, Judiciary, the military, and even your state government, and then start creating problem up and down. Igbos are really the problem with Nigeria.
You re very correct. angry

Why should people campaign for your cause. If you want to leave, move to the East and ask your representatives to move the motion. It’s that simple. Nobody will fight your battle. The question is, what in SE is making you so afraid of making this move? Why is SE even so inhospitable for Igbos?

Indeed. Then why worry about Asari? Though I condemn his hate speech. But Asari and Igbo people are always at loggerheads.

There is something about Igbo culture that is anti-social. Which causes such tribal clashes. Especially the loud few who are allowed to run wild, while those who know better keep quiet. Just like menaces like IPOB. As long as IPOB control Igbo people, nobody will take them serious.

You campaign for one Nigeria and fighting against their agitation yet they are your problem.

Only a fool will be fighting to keep his problem with him.

We don't need SE to be hospitable to Easterners, your father's compound they're all currently staying is hospitable enough for them.

You are the one fighting for one Nigeria and blaming or lying that others are preventing you from leaving. Go home and fight for Biafra in a sane way. Not by raising UGM and IPOB to kill innocent Igbo’s. No one is holding you in Nigeria, but Igbos who know Biafra is a death sentence.

Very perceptive observation! I wish the leadership of IPOB had your nuanced views on happenings in the geopolitical space called Nigeria...especially under Nnamdi Kanu, it is not every battle is worthy of prosecution ! Our adversaries are very sly and are ardent users of guile, smoke and mirrors to get what they want.........especially Ndiyoruba! The whole unknown gunmen issue in south east is about wresting control of Imo state”s abundant oil and gas deposits..........especially gas!

Go to Facebook and see how Igbo’s are praising UGM. Once outsiders insult you with UGM and IPOB you lie that these are people sponsored against you! But we all know it’s a lie and you know who these people are. You support their actions to make your region unstable and kill Igbo’s who are not in line with IPOB.

They used Endsars to deceive Nnamdi Kanu and messed up his movement. See Sowore, see FFK, those were the tools used to messed up Kanu's movement. The moment Kanu deviated to join Nigerian revolution that resulted to ESN, that was when he lost it. The world was already paying attention, but not anymore.
FFK sold the useless idea of Jibril E'l Sudani to Kanu.
Sowore sold the idea of Nigerian revolution to him.
The endsars was an opportunity that messed up everything.

If Kanu had stayed off endsars, by now... I wish he listened.
