Some members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State have said the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has no regard for former Governor Nyesom Wike’s political influence and called on him to join the APC and be their leader in the state.
The APC stalwarts expressed confidence that Wike’s leadership in Rivers APC would free them from the setback they suffered over the years and take them to great heights with President Bola Tinubu at the center.
They made the call, yesterday, in Port Harcourt during an extraordinary meeting held to harmonies issues and discuss the way forward. Leader of the group, Tony Okocha, said: “It does appear to us that the leadership of the PDP in Nigeria does not appreciate the influence, the pedigree that is embedded in Wike. So we are asking and calling on Wike to come over to APC and lead us.
