Yes I have and it has expired, did that stop me from being a Nigerian citizen? This is what the OP is talking about and you are insulting the OP, sometimes I wonder if we are dealing with human beings here on Nairaland....

In as much as it is laughable for anyone to think once your international passport expires, you cease to be a citizen of your country. I think the same cannot be said of diplomatic passport (this is a special kind of passport) and i want to believe if it is not renewed, you cannot lay claim to citizenship of such a country.
