Seeking God’s Protection - WBLMinistry Devotional

Seeking God’s Protection: Have you ever witnessed a hawk attempting to snatch the chicks of a hen? It’s a dramatic scene, but there’s something profound about it. All the chicks that manage to find refuge under the wings of the hen are kept safe from the hawk.

In the same way, as children of God, we should be consistently seeking His protection. We should be praying to God, “Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings” (Psalms 17:8 KJV).

Unleashing Psalm 91: The Power in His Presence (Seeking God’s Protection)

What the bible says: Seeking God’s Protection
God has revealed to us in the scriptures, the Bible, the great power of His presence. He promises to be with us always, to shield us from danger and harm. In fact, God’s presence is so potent that it can even make our enemies flee!

In the book of Deuteronomy, Moses tells Joshua in the presence of all Israelites. “The Lord is the one who is going ahead of you. He will be with you. He won’t abandon you or leave you. So don’t be afraid or terrified.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭31‬:‭8‬ ‭GW

“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love, He will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing” (Zephaniah 3:17 NIV).

The power of God’s presence is also evident in the story of David and Goliath. When David faced the giant Goliath, he didn’t rely on his own strength or weapons. Instead, he trusted in the power of God’s presence.

David said to Goliath, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied” (1 Samuel 17:45 NIV). With God on his side, David was able to defeat Goliath and claim victory.

As children of God, we too can triumph over our enemies by seeking His presence. We should be constantly praying for God’s protection, not only for ourselves but also for our families, our churches, and our nations. In the book of James, we are urged to “submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7 NIV).

In conclusion, let us run to God for safety and protection. Let us pray that the omnipresent God will be constantly present in our lives, watching over us, and keeping us safe. Let us put our trust in the power of His presence, knowing that with God on our side, we can conquer any obstacle and claim victory over our enemies.
