Many of the things whose applications you enjoy today, started off as an adventure whose benefit was not apparent.

I think this spirit of bottomless curiosity is the reason the Europeans conquered Africa.

For in questioning anything and everything, the world and universe around it, gives you its secret a little at a time, allowing you some sort of comparative advantage to those who just value life for life itself.

The only people I have noticed questioning the rationale of people going to the Ocean’s bottom to visit the Titanic, are Africans.

Whatever the reality, the spirit behind those five men trapped in that submersible today, is the spirit of curiosity that has propelled mankind to the level of knowledge it has today.

These five men, were just the unfortunate ones.

Before Edmund Hillary and Tenzin conquered Mt Everest, many died while doing so.

But today, the knowledge we have gathered of the physiological changes of the human body at high altitudes is second to none.
