Asake is argueably the best break out artiste in recent years after droping hits such as Sungba, omo pe, terminator, palazzo and my favourite 'Peace be unto you'. etc

I never really vibed with Asake until i listened to 'Peace be unto you'. That song is magic, the chorus rendition makes it even more unique. The music video blended with the Asake's pattern of singing and lyrics. This is when i started paying attention to Asake.

I do not criticize his chorus pattern of singing or his Yoruba incantation lyrics, my problem is the fact that he keeps flowing on the same beats every time to a point were almost all his songs have the same sound.

I just finished listening to 'Basquit' produced by 'Magicsticks', who has been instrumental to bringing Asake to limelight making most if not all of Asake's songs and even producing all the tracks in 'Mr Money With the Vibe' album.

'Basquit' sound exactly like 'Terminator', which is very disapointing.

Why can't Asake work with other producers and try out other sounds?

cool Omoh his new album-β€œWork of Art” doesn't match up to his previous album-β€œMr. Money With The Vibes”. I don't wanna believe my Asake is about to start using only his old glory to shine. I always activate β€œNo Skip Policy” whenever I listen to β€œMMWTV”. The new album is still solid though, but juxtaposing it with the previous one, mannn.

I hope not. I believe he still has a long way to go.

Btw, that Yoga song was the most annoying sh*t have ever heard in years.

Your points are not too solid. Asake is the fastest rising artiste on local content

I haven't heard any song that's a potential hit in his recent album.

Infact, most of his recent songs shouldn't have left the studio.

I agree that he's the fastest rising artiste, but my point is that he keeps working on the same beats and pattern.

If you disagree, point out two unique hit singles from his recent album.

β€œOlorun” is nice, it's like a remix of β€œDull”,
β€œ2:30” is lit.
β€œAmapiano” ft. Olamide is also aight.
β€œWhat'sUp My G?”
β€œIntroduction”
Then β€œGreat Guy”
