Crude oil which is supposed to be a gift from God is now a curse.Any government that comes in will want to cashout from subsidy removal. It is not for the benefit of the people but for themselves.

abegi, all these comparisons are actually un-necessary, because Nigeria leaders are cheating nigerians, subsidy or no subsidy.
most world governments practice different types of subsidies to help their citizens, especially the poorest among them, to benefit from their natural resources.
but Nigeria leaders refused to repair our refineries or build new ones, because of greed and corruption.
Nigeria is the only country that produces crude oil in large scale, without refineries,
why ?
Nigeria leaders are still subsidizing their luxurious lifestyles, that's even more expensive than the so-called fuel subsidy, because they always get all their needs, free of charge, and still loot the nation.
but the little that the masses are benefitting in the form of fuel subsidy, has become what is threatening Nigeria 's existence.
Op if they tell you the fuel prices of other nations, they ought to tell you what those nationals are benefitting from their governments, unlike nigerians, that benefits absolutely nothing from the government.

1.54 Canadian dols per litre . Making 876 naira. In Toronto area . At a point the price was 2 dols last year. 2 years ago it was 99 cents. Nigerians should not expect stable petrol prices. Crude oil, interest rate, supply costs etc will always vary which affects the final petrol price.
