Thank you for your question. On this issue, I would counsel you to read Scripture by yourself.

First and foremost, the historical Jesus is actually a Man known as Yeshua. Jesus is a Greek transliteration (not a translation of Yeshua), whose meaning is still unclear to this very day.

If you had used the word Jesus in the First Century church, nobody would even have known who you were referring to. It may surprise you to note that until the year 1524, the letter J was not even invented and did not exist in the alphabet.

Second, Yeshua never said He is God. Rather he referred to God as "your God and My God"-John 20:17.

Third, He prayed to God, just like you and I should pray to God-Mark 15:34.

Fourth, when He performed miracles, the people of Israel never praised Him. Rather they glorified God, who gave Yeshua the power to perform miracles-Matthew 9:8.

Fifth, He Himself admitted that "My Father is greater than I."-John 14:28.

Sixth, We do not pray to Yeshua. Rather, we pray to God in His Name-John 16:23. And Yeshua even taught us to start our prayers with "Our Father in heaven"-Matthew 6:9.

Seventh, Yeshua Himself will be subject to God on the last day, like you and I-1 Corinthians 15:28.

In conclusion, Yeshua (Jesus) is the Prophet prophesied to come into the world in Deuteronomy 18:15. Therefore, He is the Messiah. Unlike other prophets, I believe He is the Son of God in a way that is not fully possible to explain in human terms-Psalm 2:7, John 3:16. You accept this by faith.

Doctrines like the Trinity were invented by men in 325 AD. If you read John 1:1 in the original Koine Greek, it does not justify the Trinity, and Yeshua Himself contradicted the Trinity doctrine when He said, "My Father is greater than I."-John 14:28. (Trinity means three EQUAL Persons in one God).

And finally, when Yohanna (John) had his last vision of Yeshua, he made a distinction between Yeshua and God In Revelations 1:1.

Throughout your life and even on this thread, you will see many people who will argue. But pay attention. They will use their church's doctrine or philosophy to justify the Trinity, because it CANNOT be justified using Scripture.
