Why is it that a cutoff mark will be high for one set of people and lower for another set in the same country?

Why must Nigeria always created weird and chaotic rules that eschew justice?

Are we saying that some brains are naturally more advanced than others, SOLELY, based on place of birth?

Are we saying that students should not be encouraged to strive for the best when they are in a certain location?

Why why why?

Why Nigeria? You are everything that is against God.

Is Nigeria the Antichrist? Cause everything you do is Anti Christ, from the way you don’t provide good roads or even water for your children to the way you corrupt justice at every turn.

Very Anti Christ nation.

The consequences of this rubbish is inefficiency and terrible performance when the graduates of those schools with low cut of marks start giving poor service in different agencies that would absorb them after graduation

When you board your next plane, would you like to be piloted 👨🏾‍✈️ by a pilot that scored 90+ percent on their piloting test, or a pilot that scored 10 percent and was only admitted to the program to fulfill the “QUOTA”??

Shebi if you die, it will be for a good cause ba? You will be screaming “Quotaaaaaaaa Systeeeeeeeem” as you fall to your doom.

I believe that all kids can become intelligent, unless a medical disability precludes such.

A low cutoff would serve to encourage low productivity.

Why should I study for my test if you tell me I need only 5 percent to pass, like bruuuuh, I’ll be partying all night.

That's why the SE region is full of miracles centres and made in Aba results, to keep up with the cut of mark that portrays a fallacy of being the most educated region

There is a reason unitary schools were built by the FG

Is not compulsory to go to a Federal School

There are lots of States and Private Schools one can go to

.. Igbos have been leading in all exams back to back , including Waec, Neco, Jamb and international exams.. So they are also doing expo at international exams they have been are winning ? grin grin grin

Even if they are engaging in malpractice in Nigerian internal exams as you said , so the exam bodies in Nigeria are so incapacitated to investigate exam centers in the east for the past seven to 10 years to know why they are excelling in Education ?..

Do you know that the best Jamb student in 2023 is Anambra Igbo who schooled in SW ?

Put her in Kaduna or Yobe unit she will still emerge as the best

A failure will always give an excuse for his failure

It's just in their DNA, few places I hv worked.
Being a hustler from Eastern Nigeria, I do help people buy stuffs from east. I was making cool change then, so my Yoruba colleagues do complain that salary is no longer sufficient while I was enjoying life and changing wardrop.
Before u know it, they started envying me, from their they started insinuating that maybe I was selling company property. When their gossip got to me (Yorubas like gossip alot) I didn't bother to confront any idiot.
I immediately went to d manager and laid my complain and observations. D manager called everybody and told them that I hv side hustle outside work (bcs I hv helped d manager to purchase somethings from alaba and ikeja), he cautioned them serious to desist from spreading rumors about what they know nothing about..
During d course of side hustle, it was Esan guy that begged me to teach him how I dey take survive before salary go cum and I put him through but d Yoruba colleagues were damn lazy and envy to even ask me way

The funny thing is they engage in all this wickedness, hate and greed then wonder why some are not following them to shout 'up one Nigeria!' Some have made it their lifes ambition to ensure the Igbo are held down while others progress at their political and economic expense!

Bros, I used to think like this, but attending the university made me understand life better. Yes, people can get better when they read, but people naturally have their strength and weakness.

In school, I met a guy who could cram and give out pages of textbooks word for word. While we read to learn, he crammed textbooks and handouts and gave the content to their lecturers during exams exactly how it was given. Guess what, he finished top of our class.

If you don't understand these differences in people's abilities, it only means you have carefully studied people or haven't met rare humans. Yes, people's strengths differ.

Like I stated in an earlier thread, Nigeria has failed to tap into our strength in diversity. If we had a sane society, the government would focus on other areas that the north does well and builds on it.

That would be growing their agriculture and harnessing their expansive landmass. Yes, the north is trying in produce production, but they can do better if we had a serious government.

What nonsense ‘purpose’!? It didn’t work with your ilk who are still full of hate! A country where the hegemonic muslim north and their Tinubu south-west allies still feel the presidency should be denied the Igbo, and where Tinubu thugs and e-thugs parade in real life and cyberspace to tell the Igbo they are 3rd class citizens in Lagos in particular and Nigeria in general….so pray, what nonsense ‘purpose’ are you banging on about!?

So long as every region/ethnicity contributes to the funding of those so called ‘unity schools’, then all should be treated fairly otherwise it would be a case of the Igbo working for the convenience and comfort of the muslim core north!

Every State have a quota for unitary schools, and no state is been cheated.

Unitary schools are not the only schools in Nigeria

It’s not compulsory to attend a federal gov’t college as you argue, but it’s compulsory for every state to contribute to building and funding them…..then latter the federal gov’t brings in unfair quota-system for admission! You see where i’m going with this!?

How much is your State contributing to FG revenue sef wey you dey wail like this?

Every state have a quota and almost every state dey fill their quotas.

If you are not happy with the way Unitary schools are structured, you have the choice of State and Private schools

All the States in Nigeria have a quota

Anambra Students are only competing with Anambra Students for a spot in a Unitary school just the way Students from Zamfara are only competing with Students from Zamfara
