Very interesting to hear the subtle imperfections in his pronunciation while he still retains a strong Ibadan/Oyo accent. The separation of Brazil's Yoruba speakers from their brethren in Nigeria goes back centuries. Yet, despite parallel evolutions of the same language occurring thousands of miles apart, common linguistic denominators ensure that speakers of both dialects can still understand each other perfectly.

I picked up on this too, clearly has the accent from that axis you mentioned despite the intonation being imperfect as you surmised.

I can't think of any time I have heard this before, interesting.
