@ Twinskenny,
Why you go fall my hand for outside like this?
Put the sim in your phone, activate whatever plan, remove it and stick it into your modem and you are good to go.
To make it even easy, create a new profile on your modem, make the apn dynamic and leave the username and password fields blank. With the new plan you will be able to use any sim without changing the profile. I have tested it with MTN and Airtel and it worked perfectly, you know why i didn't try it glo, hehe,

@ All,
You guys in lagos should move into other parts of the country and see the networks that really sucks!

Don't know why there are so many MTN haters. It seems most people propping Glo stay in Lagos. I hear Glo is about the fastest there, but when you are outside Lagos, Glo sucks. The signal keeps breaking every other minute and changing from 3G to EDGE to GPRS like twice a minute. I have tried Glo in Ibadan and PH and I know what I'm talking about. MTN is the most consistent and reliable overall! Was on the verge of trying Etisalat for their new Easyblaze, but now that MTN have responded to offer lower prices, I might as well just stick with MTN. Been clamouring for a 1Gb allowance in the N3k region for a while now as I don't usually use much more than that a month since I browse at work also and MTN has finally answered. Besides MTN is fast enough anyway for watching video. Can't remember the last time i watched youtube or yahoo movie previews and experienced any buffering.

@bodejohn no mind me jare abeg e my current profile has web and web as both username and password, what is the advantage of leaving it blank? and also the apn still remain gprs.mtnnigeria.com.ng something like that, whats d advantage of leaving it dynamic?

MTN dey use juju for una? Why una dey complain? Switch over nau.

I switched from Starcomms iZap to Glo NetPro recently. The Glo NetPro is just too fast. Didn't know I was punishing myself using Starcomms iZap for exorbitant fee of 16k monthly. Glo 6GB is just 7,500 naira and it's super fast with high download speed.

In abuja MTN SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Infact it sucks do bad, all the rivers around here are dry grin

Meanwhile GLO rules 100% Their speeds are amazing. used to be a glo basher cos I believe they over hype their abilities. They are silent now and their speed here is relatively OK. I regularly get 2.5Mbps (300KBps). YouTube and co are a breeze. I finish 3GB in less than 2 weeks (I dont download anything like software sef)
