For some time now, my mum has been feeling down. So, a friend of hers gave her this fruit to try out. That its very good and it works too.

But the weird thing about this fruit is that we were not told the name. And i havent even come across this type of fruit before in my life.

So i decided to bring it up here as one or more persons can identify the fruit and its name for all to benefit from.

The third pic is when she was peeling it.

And after using it just as she was directed for some days now, i asked her about its efficacy and she replied positively.

She also told me she saw someone selling the fruit. And she was told its 1000 naira. shocked

Dear poster,
Please how did she use the fruit and for how long? Would appreciate if you can share the steps in preparing the mixture she took and what ailment it was used to treat. This is to enable others who may have similar issues know what best to do as Ignorance is the main killer, not even the diseases we fear most.

Thank you.

Based on what i read, its been used to cure diabetes. But am unsure as to the type of diabetes it cures.

As for the preparation, she cut the fruit into pieces, and put inside a small keg (like a 10ltr keg) and leave the mixture for three days. After which u drink from the mixture morning and night with a glass cup.

Although since she started taking this mixture, she no longer buys the costly diabetes drugs she previously used to buy every month.

Note... Its quite (as in very) bitter. I know this because i normally drink it as a malaria medicine too. Infact everyone in my house now drink the mixture as malaria medicine embarassed )

Ps: you can read more about it online.

Thanks so much for your feedback.

Would you mind sharing what her fasting/random blood sugar levels were before she started taking it and what it is now? Is she diabetes free as a result of taking this herbal concoction, or it helps regulate her sugar levels daily? Has she ever had hypoglycemia as a result of taking this mixture? If I read you correctly, does it mean that she's no longer on any medication for diabetes?

Also, how many of these fruits does cut and put in 10L of water?
From the pics you sent, it seems the back of the fruit is not used?
How long does the concoction last before it's discarded? I suppose it's stored in a fridge or freezer?

When used as an anti malarial, how often is it taken for one to get well?

Pardon my questions, but I know you had good intentions to put this post up in in the first place, hence the need for more clarity as we may not know how this knowledge would help more people.
God bless.

Based on what i read, its been used to cure diabetes. But am unsure as to the type of diabetes it cures.
All fruits are good, but don't be deceived, there is none that can cure diabetes.
Infact, there is no herb in the state it's taken that can cure diabetes.
What your mum is claiming as benefit is the psychological belief in the efficacy of this fruit she is taking,it's not a factual relief or cure for her diabetes.
The psychological efficacy comes from the belief some Nigerians have that once something is bitter,it cures diabetes, because they know diabetes is a disease of sugar (sweet substance),so it's cure to them should logically be a bitter substance,to neutralise the sugar, which is not true because it doesn't work that way.
It's something like this that might have put Mr Ibu in the amputated limb state he is now, because then people too would have been telling him to be taking all kinds of fruits, herbs, and other concoctions, that they will cure his diabetes;he believed them, neglected his proven drugs or didn't even take any at all from the onset, till his leg became gangrenous necessitating it being amputated to save his life!
If you want to disprove my assertion, take your mum to a lab to test her sugar level at least twice and see if it's now normal or has even gotten worse since she stopped her drugs and started taking this fruit.
A word is enough for the wise and the internet they say, doesn't forget.
