Gunmen have abducted the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Chairman in Ekiti State, Mr Paul Omotosho.

Sources said he was whisked away on Saturday evening while driving along Agbado Ekiti-Imesi Ekiti Road.

APC State Publicity Secretary, Segun Dipe, said that the state party chairman was driving in his car along the Agbaso-Imesi Road when the incident happened.

Dipe said, “The chairman was driving in a Venza car along the road.

He said, “The gunmen shot at one of the tyres of the car. He was taken into a Toyota Hilux van and drove off. He was alone in the car when the incident happened, according to the information we have.

“It happened in the evening, we got the information at about 6 pm. The security agencies – police and Amotekun – have been alerted, and they are all working on it,” the APC spokesperson said.

When contacted on the phone, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Command, Sunday Abutu, said that he would get back “as soon as I get the confirmation.”

Trust me, this is never making front page since it didn’t happen in Southeast (the region they are wishing it burns).

Or maybe it IPOB that kidnapped the man from Ekiti.

Cuz why not, a serving Senator said IPOB caused crisis during election in Kano.

Meanwhile, while would these kidnappers kidnap Afin? Now we cannot hope of him escaping since he cannot see properly.

Deadliest Unknown gunmen is south west. They will also mine his skull in addition. Federal government should send military troops to SW to restore peace and order in the war torn zone

Most of them don't even know that the rate of kidnapping in Ekiti is high currently because they are busy with SE issues.

You can't travel freely in Ekiti state today and will not risk been kidnapped. It has been on for a period of time now but their media always try to cover it up.

The past week the number of kidnapped people in Ekiti state by unknown gunmen is a story for another day.

They are chasing other people's shadows while their homegrown criminal is over running them.

Why I don't involve in tantrum, the fact is that kidnapping has been on rise in Ekiti state. The place is not safe again.

We travellers will tell u.
