8,000 naira divided by 30 days is 266 naira per day.

Tinubu wants to pay 266 naira each a day to 12 million households.

Wlll 266 naira make any difference?
This is lack of vision, wastage and mismanagement of fund.

this is just a helping hand, not a SALARY... or would you rather continue going with ZERO?!? somebody is dashing you free money, and you are here questioning them...kai!

majority wont be able to make ends meet BUT if thats all you got, then you have to make it work, the best way you can.
if you live at your mama's house and your job is a walking distance from home, then although not ideal, you can make it work. you can even make it with NO SALARY, if you have the right back up.
if it wont make any difference to "you" then dont accept it et voila...POVERTY HAS LEVELS!

This kind of palliative is susceptible to lots of fraud. Better results would be achieved if the money is used to buy thousands of CNG powered mass transit buses that would be distributed nationwide, so transport cost can come down.

You forgot that the money is not met to feed but rather subsidize transportation cost of low income earners.
Meaning , whatever the fuel subsidy removal creates burdens to such family, the 8k will be able to at least relieve them. So it is let to each individual to use the money as deemed fit where they are hit most. After all, they have some form of earnings without the relieve.

It is not for individuals but households. So, a family of 4 is given 266 naira to share between themselves.

Stop being stupid. A palliative is not a salary.

It’s like you’re broke and someone gives you 3k and you start asking him how will this feed you and your family for a month! It is NOT supposed to do that, but simply to help you along the way.

Stop being f00lish!!

Egypt still pays fuel subsidy.

Investing almost a billion dollars in a ridiculous palliative package is a waste of resources.

It’s easy for an overfed buffoon like you to dismiss money given to the poor as ‘wasteful’, but there are millions of poor rural families for whom 8,000 naira would be a welcome supplement, so get lost.

Goodness knows what Egypt paying subsidies has to do with Nigeria. They are light skinned, so whatever they do must be right, and we must copy them, in your dumb, stupid colonised head.

exactly!!!! sadly, as you know Nigerians na and their narrow minded ways of thinking, they will now be questioning someone who dash them free money, that it aint enough to help them out of their misery....IMAGINE!
so these people are broke, they have no money, someone is trying to help you by offering you 8k to manage, and you will say that its not enough, lol!

Easy for a deranged creature like you to defend the government giving 266 naira to a family of 4 to fight poverty.

Get sense at least for once.

Only a fool born by a fool will accuse me of supporting IPOB. Quote the post with link to prove such.
When fools like you lose an argument, you resort to bigotry.
That is an evidence of insanity.

Egypt is still paying subsidy.

Also, the fact that they are cutting subsides shows they don't have the money to keep paying for subsides

We did the same in Nigeria for many years, and now we are at a debt level that makes our continued taking of loans high risk. If we had kept fuel at N65 since 2012, we would have long since run out of money.

Does not matter whether you think you are a member of Homo Divinus, Nigeria, even if we did not do corruption and vote for APC, can't pay for subsides no more. I don't like it, it makes me angry, it pisses me off , but there's anger and there is cold reality.

I can shout all day at Mount Everest, but it won't break down that mountain.
