Tinubu's lead counsel Wole Olanipekun based his argument on section 299 of the constitution in his final written address in defence of the 25% requirement in F.C.T.
which states that F.C.T should be treated as any other state of the federation.

I also see a lot of Tinubu supporters on this forum echoing the same position but what they don't know is that the same section 299 they love to quote will be used to sack Tinubu.
Here's the complete section:
Section 299.
The provisions of this Constitution shall apply to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja as if it were one of the States of the Federation; and accordingly -

(a) all the legislative powers, the executive powers and the judicial powers vested in the House of Assembly, the Governor of a State and in the courts of a State shall, respectively, vest in the National Assembly, the President of the Federation and in the courts which by virtue of the foregoing provisions are courts established for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja;

(b) all the powers referred to in paragraph (a) of this section shall be exercised in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution; and

(c) the provisions of this Constitution pertaining to the matters aforesaid shall be read with such modifications and adaptations as may be reasonably necessary to bring them into conformity with the provisions of this section.

The "AND" that is preceding "accordingly"
in section 299; is it interpreted
as conjunctive?
or
as disjunctive ?

grin grin
If it's interpreted as conjunctive then F.C.T should have a governor and a state legislature just as every other state of the federation.

if it's interpreted as disjunctive then section 299 only applies to the administration of the F.C.T, it's legislature and the composition of it's courts as outlined in section 299(a,b and c) and has no bearing with it's status for presidential election, can't be interpreted as the 37th state ;meaning a presidential candidate most secure 25% of votes cast in the F.C.T to be declared winner.

Obi is coming

Once Obi secures his mandate, all security personnel will have to be up and doing with excessive fitness. One thing for sure is he won't leave anything to chance. That one is the head of any parastatal will never give them opportunity to rest on their oars because Okwute can just breeze in and take stock at any time. Since he prefers to move about with small fanfare and Entourage, one can be taken unawares.

The people I pity most are his personal guards. He already has a receptive stance towards people and wouldn't tolerate any brutal force on them. One wonders how those personal guards will manage the organic crowds that swells around him whenever he makes a public appearance 😁

I told Tinubu supporters that wole Olanipekun is working for the victory of His excellencies Peter Obi/Datti at the tribunal knowingly or otherwise.
How can you as a SAN quote a law that will will nail and ultimately bury your client.

In their final address, Wole and sons said they've applied for the original copy of the certificate. It begs the question..which version did they submit? A fake? 😁

Everything Peter Obi and Atiku brought against the court have been ruled on previously. They just have money for a fake circus and to deceive the gullible into killing themselves. The case will be dismissed as it has no grounds, evidence or proof that Peter Obi or Atiku won. So, stop deceiving yourself OP and face reality. Let Peter Obi go and use his own kids for protest and human shield. He’s only deceiving you by this fake show!

I quoted a section of the constitution that most Agbadorians like to quote all the time, if I can spot the pitfalls against Tinubu by his lawyers it shows he lacks the capacity to be a leader.
No, the constitution and country is bigger than Tinubu, he will be sacked.

They know they will lose. So they are trying to claim otherwise just like they claimed they won. So, when judges pass their judgment, they have excuse to cause chaos. But I pity the fools who will lose their lives on lies and fake propaganda of sore losers.

If it's interpreted as conjunctive then F.C.T should have a governor and a state legislature just as every other state.

if it's interpreted as disjunctive then it only applies to the administration of the F.C.T and the composition of it's courts and has no bearing with it's status during election; meaning a presidential candidate most secure 25% of votes cast in the F.C.T

Obi is coming

So what happens to other requirements, incase you lost your memory

1. score Majority vote

2. 25% in 24states

@least these two conditions resonate with equality and fairness to all compared to Mr 25% in the FCT,

You expect court to overlook 1 & 2 and impose a 25% in FCT on Nigeria as legimate winner grin and you think that is not enough to cause anarchy, where is it done

even @ Re-run Peter Obi is not qualified from all evidences gathered.

So what happens someday when they decide to move capital from Abuja to maybe Akwa ibom or back to Lagos grin

That also is been proven by Peter Obi's lawyers in his submission to the tribunal.
Labour party tendered reports including election scores analysis and statistical investigation on the votes scored by the candidates in the presidential election

The above is the reason labour party called a professor of mathematics as witness...
The report was accepted and admitted as exhibit even when Tinubu's lawyers objected.

I will warn you guys now that Nigeria can not afford another June 12 debacle .

This time around there is no IBB or Abacha to take all the blame .

You are all now Arthur Nzeribes and this won't augur well no matter the outcome of the PET ruling.
