There's something I've come to noticed about nairaland that I feel is selfishness on the part of the owners and the moderators.

People come here because of the contents available on this website.

More than 99% of these contents are however created by the users and not the site owner or moderator.

But instead of giving back to these content creators, seun would rather punish them.

I'm not talking about money here. On the internet, linking back is the currency of trade when it comes to payment in content creation.

Now seun, punish creators here too severely for even Linking back to their website when they create meaningful contents.

A case I would love to point out is the case of NAAIJA COOVER. You are seeing the misspelling there because even mentioning Naaija coover (obviously spelt wrong) get deleted automatically.

This NAAIJA COOVER contributes a lot to nairaland especially the crime section with most of his contents being voted by getting pushed to front page.

But for no reason, his links have been banned from nairaland. Such that creating a NAAIJA COOVER dot com can easily get you banned.

That's no way to reward hardwork.

Yes, I get that there are many spammers here but consistency should be taking into consideration.

If I have been tirelessly working and creating contents which the members of this platform loves, it's only natural that such a user should get a pass on some things.

There are many others here also who get banned for flimsy reasons without regards to how much reputation they've built with their usernames.

Especially those who have even been part of this community before the very mods banning them.

Seun, should have a reconsideration of how he treats his most precious content creators.

If people get rewards for creating good contents, they invariably get motivated to create even better ones.

Kill spammy back linking. But let the healthy ones grow.

seriously. I think it's high time people start pointing out the obvious.

There are sometimes after creating some contents and you add a link to it, you get banned because some idiot have previously used the domain to do something else.

For instance, you cannot link to certain resources on nairaland because the whole domain have been blacklisted.

And if you repeat your domain in multiple posts, it get blacklisted without regards to the content you used it in

Nigerians love to abuse such opportuniteis

If they allow people to link to other sites then it automatically means that Nairaland has endorsed that site; if and when a person get scammed at that site he will turn around and blame Nairaland undecided
