Come on now....at this point, tribalism will not help us. No tribe is buying fuel or dollar at a cheaper rate. Everyone is feeling this heat. Let's call a spade, a spade. These decisions were not well thought out before inplementation

This is a fantastic idea. Ensure that the fertilizer get to the farmers at the right time and place. This idea will no doubt bring about large food production for everyone to eat. God bless Nigeria.

[quote author=taylor89 post=124507906] What's all these hype and attention of 8k?

Do y’all even realize 8k is $10?

I mean a whole household $10 for month?

That’s 10 liters of fuel

Tinubu is the most f00lish human being on earth

Will 8k be enough for Tinubu to sniff cocaine?

My happiness is that even those who voted Tinibu is in this with us together

Is Dollar our currency in Nigeria.? Why conversation to $. Oyinbo never convert their currency to Naira. What we need is reasonable amount of Naira e.g #20,000 per household

DATA! Very little or nothing will be achieved without DATA! Accurate DATA!
How do they arrive at the number of farmers and their capacities and the area of their farming specialty? Who farms rice, or corn, or vegetables and so on? What land area is available to each? What input is required and how will the distribution, utilization of input be monitored? What season will each farmer be engaged?
So many questions that should be addressed before funds are committed, else the funds will just go down the drain.

By the time wey dem go first setup different committees, come agree on how to mobilize them, those ones come fight over sharing formula before dem go come decide to begin even consider all the things wey you suggest here, 8 years go don finish.

Una get mind to believe say another thing apart from rounding up these demons and slaughtering them all go fit save this country aswear.

My mind, hope, faith, and belief dey shake seriously.

So dissapointingly painful.

The issue is not the said 8k or 50million fertilizer to Farmers, but will it get to the right people

After the 8k and 50million what have u, if u on your own take census of the people who the palliatives gets to, u will count over 100people without any of them receiving it. E.g covid19 palliative. I.e, another avenue for heartless individual to thief undecided

Use this money fix refineries or boost local production of PMS so that crud refined here will be much more den what we have now. That is the number one thing I expected PresidentTinubu to do before anoucing removal of subsidy.

#500 per/lt of fuel no easy oo
And now #750/lt na die oo

What is shocking ne is that we were made to believe this man is intelligent or was it all the usual Yoruba propaganda? 🤔

OMG

In my opinion, our leaders are myopic.

For crying out loud," if you give a child a fish you have feed him for once but if you teach this child how to fish you have feed him for life."

I think our leaders have decided to keep the people poor so that they can always throw crumbs at them and it will seams like they have given them hope.

That 500 billion naira should be channel into productivity. Let this government just support productivity and innovation. Then watch this country rise to it's glory.

My advise as a concerned citizen of the FRN.
This government should strategies and itemized the issues facing Nigeria then pick one and follow it to the later. E.g insecurities - if your priority is to fight it, then fight it with all your might so that in the next 8 years we shouldn't be talking about insecurities anymore. The the next administration will pick another issue and face that... Then in the next 30 years we should be on our path to greatness

Put back the subsidy, first it's cashless policy, now it's subsidy removal, let the poor breath.

stop being childish and insensitive this Igbo line has expired honestly Nigerians are going through the thick of it, N power, conditional cash transfer, covid palliative, school feeding program, I have never seen or heard of anyone who was a beneficiary of any of this program by the previous government, if Nigerians express concerns over its implementation then it is justified.

Alake said: “You will agree with me that it has become part of the culture of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to dialogue with Nigerians who voted him into office constantly.

“The President covenanted with Nigerians that their welfare and security will be topmost in the Renewed Hope Agenda of his government.

In the last few days, the conventional and new media platforms have become awash with stories of the government intending to embark on conditional cash transfers to vulnerable households mostly affected by the painful but necessary decision to remove subsidy from petrol.

“The story has been widely reported that the Federal Government is proposing to give 12 million households from the poorest of the poor N8,000 monthly for a period of six months as government palliative to reduce the discomfort being experienced by Nigerians consequent upon subsidy removal.
