So Far, The Southeast Has Lost Over $12.215 Billion To Sit At Home Exercises. by zomby(m): 1:00am On Jul 19, 2023
The South-East Nigeria’s micro businesses wasted 71 Mondays between August 9, 2021 and December 19, 2022, losing N5.375 trillion ($12.215 billion) in the process.

This is according to an investigation funded by the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR).

The losses arose from Monday sit-at-home exercises being implemented in the region. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a self-proclaimed freedom movement, began the implementation of Monday sit-at-home exercise on July 30, 2021 but backtracked on January 12, 2022.

However, the sit-at-home exercise seems to have come to stay every Monday, leading to revenue losses and disappearance of investor confidence in the region.

You inflict pain on your people in name of fighting for someone's freedom. I don't understand how that makes sense. More like Igbo versus Igbo.

I’m struggling to figure out the logic behind this senseless move.
You’re inflicting unbearable pain on your own people, by abusing and killing them, financially killing your region, and indirectly making all your leaders look extremely weak…all in the name of fighting for someone’s freedom. It is move like cutting off your nose to spite your face; it makes absolutely no sense.

My question is: HOW CAN A WHOLE GROUP OF PEOPLE SLEEP AND FACE THE SAME DIRECTION FOR THIS LONG?? Na wah o!

Message to the igbos:
You cannot discard something valuable along with other things that are undesirable…PLEASE THINK FOR A CHANGE.
Now is the time for you guys to step up, stop all the senseless sentiments and silly emotions…You’ve got to come up with a better strategy; inflicting severe pain on your own and destabilizing your region will bring nothing desirable, but further incapacitate your entire tribe, which in return will permanently make failure your BEST FRIEND.

Note:
Even if you sit at home for the entire year, it wouldn’t have any effect on when or how Kanu will be released; this is NIGERIA!

I do not believe that the igbos clearly understand that they’re now dealing with a master strategist president; this is not Buhari.

Have you noticed that president Tinubu is yet to say anything about Peter Obi and his stolen manhood or mention anything in regards to sit at home exercise in the southeast? The man is simply focused on building solid relationships with other leaders all around the world, especially african presidents.
Without voicing it, Tinubu’s action is simply a sign that says Nigeria is bigger than a light weight presidential candidate and his people..
Mainwhile, the sit at home exercise has systematically shown how weak the southeast leaders are and how little respect the igbos have for themselves.

You spend all your life and time on Nairaland posting things that don't contribute any quota to your well being and financial income.
If people investigate where you stay, its probably a run down or ghetto like location you live in.
You've even never been to Aso Villa with all your contributions and online support to the ruling President, yet mock other people who fare better in life and wealth than you.

Your addiction to social media proves you ain't living a better life, just some poor fellow with the ordinary mentality of the illiterate masses.

Not supporting sit at home in South East, but to counter your usual shallow logic, here's a little anecdote.
A certain man said that he could eat one basket of mangoes and nothing will happen to him ... except that when he wants to fart, a little sh1t escapes to mess his underwear!
It was then that someone nearby reminded him that he was indeed dying slowly without knowing. grin
No THIRD WORLD country can afford to lose $12.215 BILLION without feeling it.
The Naira is in a freefall and fuel prices are running away, and you are here saying that Nigeria is not feeling anything.
Some of you people's reasoning capacity can only be equated with those of either Orangutan or Bonobo.

Except this sit at home thing is widely celebrated by the affected people, I wonder why the youth have not come up with a counter strategy to avert this madness.

I mean the same fellow who would threaten other region how heaven will lose are being cage at home by just few people.

What do I know.

I pray for peace over that side o

The sit at home backed by Igbo elites and politicians you mean?.. see the one in Ajao estate that was nabbed over IPOB affiliation, seventy years old man o.

I think FG should as a matter of urgency stop payment of monthly allocations to all 5 States in South East so the people there doing sit at home will feel the consequences of their actions.. Yorubas, Hausas, Ijaws, Ikwerres etc. can't be working for lazy people in SE to eat. O wrong gan ni.

SE with all the noise you people are making are doing excellently well in all ground and there are facts to prove it.

You realise most of SE people are self employed?

The answer is simple we support the sit at home period!

Una go cry tire for wetin no concern una

We are showing solidarity to MNK and it's not anyone's business we can work other days and make our money stop crying

So, now that the DSS refuses to release Emiefulu let us all see if Wednesday is also going to be included in the sit at home exercise in the southeast.
Furthermore, I wonder whether the igbos would be pushing this hard for the release of Emiefulu, if the bastard was an Hausa or a Yoruba man.
