Is Tinubu Planning For His Political Demise? by Emmaomotob(m): 10:09am On Jul 19, 2023
After removing several subsidies that are the lifeblood of many Nigerians, Tinubu has managed to plunge the country into a depression. His acts were so brazen and shocking that it could either be the ramblings of a maniac or the outset of a grand plan of a political genius. People decided to stick with the later, because the former was too painful to imagine. One liter of petrol for 532.5 naira! Ridiculous. Yet, as the days pass by, it is becoming clearer that this geriatric guy has no plan for the country. He has had 8 years to plan for his presidency, yet his only plan is to give 8,000 naira, which he has since withdrawn and replaced with rice and beans (and maybe agbado).

More people are starting to realize that he might not be smart after all. The arrest of Emefiele is perhaps just political revenge. The floating of currency is probably an attempt to halt the exodus of Nigerians abroad. And the removal of oil subsidy is an attempt to make Dangote refinery profitable (as the government justify paying subsidy to him and he cannot make profit at the current price). Tinubu is probable an opportunist that stole the glory that rightly belongs to Fashola. His body language does not indicate a man that has vision and the 8,000 naira insult reveals the depth of his character and intellect.

Most Nigerians have to bow their heads in humiliation and shame when they consider what is going on in Nigeria. It is hard to attach the word 'Nigerian' to yourself without feeling defiled. Tinubu has broken the unwritten social contract that exists between Nigerians and politicians - steal but leave subsidy untouched. 'Our son' politics does not work in the southwest, thus, I wonder how this man plans to survive the political storm awaiting him when he's discovered to be a spoof.

We tell them dem no gree. I was done with secondary school when Tinubu became governor for 8 years. The only thing I remember him for is "Jigi Bola" and posters on the road explaining why bad roads cannot be fixed because it is a federal road. And the better coordination of Agberos into various unions.

I expect nothing good from his government and know that he will seek to tax anything and everything with a consultant on behalf of government for a percentage that will go into his pocket.

That is all Tinubu has to offer. No more, no less

There was nothing

You say "tinubu is not so smart"...yet his excreta is far smarter than your entire lineage COMBINED.

I can see you are a house niggah in UK. No wonder my comment hit you hard. Being a 3rd class citizen home and abroad is simply pathetic.
