My girlfriend and I have been together for a year now and the relationship has been great, so we usually have unprotected sex buh I make sure I don't release inside her buh as God may have it, we found out she was pregnant and I wanted to keep the bby buh she didn't want to keep the pregnancy, so we decided to abort it, which we did with the help of one of our friends (girl). The first week wasn't okay, because she was experiencing pains everyday, due to the abortion, the second week seemed perfect no issues, she wasn't feeling anything at all.
This week now all of a sudden she's exhibiting symptoms again... And she has not seen her period, meanwhile we've not had sex since... I don't understand again, I'm not really ready financially yet, buh I'm a bit okay buh the problem is her family, She's just 19 and I'm 22, pls any advice... Thank you

I was once in your shoes. Well my best advice is for you to take her for proper abortion which is D and C. You can’t leave the baby cuz the baby most have had some part of his or her body affected by the failed abortion. So go to a proper place for d and c.

Why does it sounds like abortion is more of a culture in Nigeria? And the worst part of it all is that it's illegal there.

I always hear stories on this forum of abortions this and abortions that.

Why have unprotected sex if you can't own up to your mistakes and learn from them?

Respect your country's laws and stop having unprotected sex out of wedlock, or abstain from sex all at once... Else you guys should campaign for abortion to be legalized in Nigeria since you love it so much.

I understand the confusion you both must be going through right now. There's a video I'll recommend you watch that should provide helpful advice: I'm pregnant. Should we keep it.

You can always thank me later.

Yes, I am.

But you need to understand that a person with HIV can still get married to a HIV negative spouse and have HIV negative kids.

But we can't say the same with a girl who did illegal abortions and has a damaged womb.

Will you marry a woman with a damaged womb from doing illegal abortions?

Lol... At 22 years, u already know much to choose between wearing condom and "Not pouring Inside"....
If at this age, self wellbeing and how to become a man isn't your priority, you prefer everyday sex, then well it's obvious you like the sex, the girl, and also anything that comes with it....
Whether she is pregnant or not, just get a house, marry the girl, then you both become couples... So u can have the complete freedom of sex, and have the kids if u desire...

But well, I hear say when the rod big and sweet, the gal dey forget CD... But when e small dem go remember CD πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ..

be risking your life, you can u marry someone with HIV ? Unless u want to risk your life, the mother might have a cut someday not even knowing where the cut came from and the innocent kid that doesn't know anything might get a cut from the same place.mistake can happen anytime, anyhow and before u know the baby starts carrying the virus too.
As for pregnancy, what about those with a good womb but can't conceive. People adopt babies, surrogacy is there and all, so there's still a solution to it, compared to risking your life to marry someone with HIV.

PS: I'm not saying abortion is good though

At your age you should be laying good foundation for your self. If at all you must have sex be protected. As for that gullible 19 yr old you have started destroying her womb, I sincerely hope both of you reap the thing(s) you sow. 19 already started aborting babies where would she be at 23-24?

Yes, I can get married to someone who's HIV positive, if he takes good care of himself.

Risk my life how? Some kids were raised by HIV positive mothers or fathers, but they're healthy and HIV negative... And as an HIV parent, it's important to teach your kids about it from a very young age and make sure that there's a first aid kit in the house.

It's very important for every family to have that first aid kit in the house, whether one of the parents is HIV positive or not, every family should have it.

Who told you that an HIV negative child can contract HIV by cutting him or herself if he or she has an HIV positive parent?πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

It can be understandable if a woman has fertility issues caused by a certain medical condition, rather than having a damaged womb caused by illegal abortions in a country whereby abortion is illegal.

And remember that in order to do an adoption, the social workers must first do an investigation on your background and your life in general, in that way, they'll be able to make a decision as to whether you indeed qualify for an adoption or not.

Surrogacy requires a lot of money... Are you telling me that you'd prefer ladies to do illegal abortions until their wombs are damaged just so they could adopt or do surrogacy

Actually Young lady u missed my point, are you telling me you'll sit a 3yr old kid down and start telling him/her about HIV, none of your explanation would make sense to him/her, nevertheless you're telling me you'll allow a man that's HIV positive to take u to the later and have unprotected sex with u knowing fully well the risk involved, be capping, Miss Capone.

If surrogacy is expensive who told u people cannot afford it, what's your business with their financial life

If it comes to adoption of babies, and they run background check on the lady that want to adopt the baby and it's because of abortion, does it mean she's not going to be a good mother, and where did u read it that if u have done abortion before u cannot adopt a baby, if that is the case the same rule should apply to those with HIV because some( emphasis on the word SOME) people living with HIV got it through sleeping around with different men living reckless life. In essence if any social worker rules anyone out of adopting a baby because of abortion, perhaps they think she's lived a reckless life in the past, but they'll consider someone with HIV, then their brain needs to be checked

Lastly as regards the question u asked, yes I can marry a girl that did abortion for me when I wasn't ready. If later she couldn't give give birth, I'll take the responsibility and if I can afford surrogacy I'll do it for her, because she did the abortion for my sake, I'll only be wicked to forsake her in that situation and my conscience can't live with it

I have a question for u too. Would rather prefer someone sleeping around to contact HIV so that u can keep going to the hospital every now and then for a CD4 count test and buying drugs for the rest of your life. Please answer

Re: My Girlfriend Is Pregnant by Nobody: 3:23pm On Jul 20, 2023
If a 3 year old child can be taught how to read and write at that age, then you can also teach him or her about HIV if one of his or her parents is HIV positive... But if you feel he or she is still too young, then you can wait until he or she is 5 years old.

The problem with you Nigerians is that you're not educated much about HIV and you still see it as a death sentence, because if you were educated about it, you'd know that if an HIV person takes his or her treatment accordingly and eats healthy, then he or she would reach that stage whereby the virus is undetectable... And as long as the virus is undetectable, then he or she can't pass it to another person even if the person gets exposed to that HIV positive person.

It's only irresponsible people who go around infecting others with HIV, the same way as those irresponsible ladies that decide to have unprotected sex and end up doing illegal abortions.

And you're missing something here, abortion in Nigeria is illegal, and something that's is illegal is considered to be a criminal offence by the law.. So those women who are going for those illegal abortions along with those people who are conducting those abortions are breaking the law.

No professional social worker would grant someone who has broken the country's laws adoption, unless that social worker is corrupt... Keep in mind that we're talking about your country whereby abortion is illegal.

And the reason why HIV is never considered to be a criminal offence is because it's an illness and we don't normally assume that everyone is HIV positive on a daily basis, but we all assume that everyone is fertile... So immediately you decide to have an unprotected sex, the first thing that should come to your mind as a girl is that "I could get pregnant", you don't think about HIV.

Personally I don't believe that a person can be pregnant by a mistake when they both consented to have an unprotected sex.

And with surrogacy, there must also be a contractual agreement that is legally binding between the couple and the surrogate, in case the surrogate decides to change her mind and keep the baby.

Like I said, if he's a responsible man and he takes good care of himself to a point that he's undetectable, then yes, I will be with him... Remember that we all have a past and just because he's HIV positive, it doesn't mean he can't have an HIV negative family of his own... If he's still at that stage whereby he's still struggling to accept himself, then I'll try to help him where I can... HIV is not a death sentence.

bercarray:

And the same thing would apply with you Nigerians, you would pay a lot of money for surrogacy because the woman has a damaged womb from doing illegal abortions, only for the couple to have a daughter that'll grow up and do illegal abortions and have a damaged womb like her mother since abortion is like a normal thing to do there even though it's illegal... grin grin grin

Now who gets to suffer the consequences more? Is it the HIV one or the one with a damaged womb? cheesy cheesy
