A 35-year-old soldier, Captain Mogomotsi Sepopa, has been remanded in custody after being charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of his wife, Bogolo Sepopa, and his alleged side chick, Same Moapare.

The bodies of the two women were found in their home at the Village Garrison in Gaborone on Sunday, July 16, 2023. They had both been shot and killed.

Sepopa was arrested the following day after negotiations with law enforcement. He is currently being held in the Botswana Police Service custody.

The case has sent shockwaves across Botswana, and the public is demanding justice for the victims.
