Dear Nairaland Family, A friend of mine is seeking for my advice which I decided to tap from your vast experiences: PREAMBLE: He is 38yrs, Living in his own house with a nuclear family (Full house wife with 3 kids, ages 7 below) He don't gamble neither smoke nor drink. He recently start earning little over 3millions monthly, aside from his side hustling of mini car importation. though It's contract job for a period of 40 months. Upon enquiry... his monthly expenditure is around 1m (large portion of it goes to the extended family and acquaintance) Conclusion: I am seeking for your priceless advice on which saving/investments should opt for. 3million naira for 40months is about 120million naira. If after expenses,he could save 2million per month that would be about 80million. Naira. That is a fantastic amount of money to survive this country in the near future. My advice is for to him to invest into mutual fund accounts that compounds quarterly and after the 40 months,he should now sit down and establish another line of business. What happened to buying acres of land? If I were him or her, I will tagg the 40 months as months of land acquisition, he could be buying 20 acres every month. In a year is like 200 acres, 200 acres will be good for coconut,cocoa, cashew, mango, cassava,palm oil,kolanut, bitter kola, pawpaw, plantain, Shea nut, those crops need little or no monitoring. 2 Likes |

Take out 5m and invest in good crypto coins like matic, bnb, dot, cro, etc for a long term,he can't loose. In fact, one of those coins will give him a return of about 10x or more in 2 years. Buy all these unfurnished house or and furnish it to good taste and do airbnb or shortlet with the apartment or resell the house immediately and go for another project. Buy couple of lands in cheap developing areas and resell in about 5 years time 1 Like |
