The Anambra State Government has stepped into the limelight over a controversial case involving Mmesoma Ejikeme, a 19-year-old student who found herself in a storm of criticism for forging her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result. Prior to her confession, Mmesoma and JAMB engaged in a heated dispute, with accusations being thrown from both sides. In the aftermath of the saga, JAMB imposed a three-year ban on Mmesoma. However, Mmesoma appeared before a panel of the House of Representatives in Abuja on Wednesday, expressing remorse for her actions and pleading for mercy.

She is now under a psychotherapist counsellor who will take her on therapy for three months after which the state government will appeal to JAMB management on behalf of her to reconsider one or two things.”

She should be given 40 strokes of the cane on her bare buttocks...then sent to a female Correctional Centre for 5 years where she will undergo thorough counselling and rehabilitation before being brought back to the Nigerian society.
By then, her mates would have gone for NYSC, then she will be allowed to write JAMB again under close supervision. If she passes, she should be given admission to study Guidance and Counselling so that she can use her story to guide the future generation of erring youths

The good ones will not get help when needed hit the bad ones are always made to be successful. Look at james brown, bobrisky etc. Even when Jamb insisted she was a fraudster, so many people lept to her defense because they were her tribes men.

It was only after substantial evidence was tendered that she decided to apologize and people are saying she should be forgiven and allowed to continue living her life? That's total bollocks! She must be punished accordingly and that 3 year suspension is a slap on the wrist.

They are just making a criminal popular. Since the day she went to Abuja to face those law makers, I won't be surprised if she get one endorsement deal soon. She has become a celebrity and soon one chief will marry her.
