Maybe you should go and check the price list of other accessories needed for schooling in the UK and USA then comeback and ask yourself.

My daughter, as a fresher in FGGC Bwari 2013, paid over a 100k as fees for the 1st term. This reduced to N20k + 5k (PTA LEVY) termly. By 2015, it was increased to about 40k and there was the introduction of a yearly life insurance. In SS3, we paid over 70k as fees.

There's no need making a political fuss out of this, education should be rightly priced so we can have the right to demand for good and acceptable standards.

Normal school fees was below 40k then. How does that compare with the present Balablue school fees?

Remove school uniform, textbooks and some unnecessary fee and see if it won't go down to the 55k that normal student has been paying for the past 3 years.

Before Tinubu inauguration, the information was long published but it wasn't sensational at that time so they choose to report it now.

Secondly, The school fees for unity school for new students has always been over 100k.
Infact I've 2 little ones who attended fgc, one is still a student in JSS3. For my kid Bro who finished from fgc rubochi, the fee was over 85k as at 2015 when he gained admission.
While my kid sis in fgc kwali paid over 200k as new student for school fees. In 2020
The fee has always fluctuated according to schools for new students and now the FG decides to intervene by making a uniform price for all institutions.

If you know how these schools technically exploits parents of new students, you'll praise this approach.
The only fee missing in the list is pta which has already been Unified at 5k long ago.

You should be the one using your head. If new students fees both in secondary and tertiary institutions were X naira some years ago, it must have doubled or more in this present APC regime with Tinubu at the helms of affairs.
