NKANU EAST YOUTH STAKEHOLDERS PLEDGES TOTAL SUPPORT TO H.E; GOV. PETER NDUBUISI MBAH LED ADMINISTRATION; PASSES VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE ON COMR. EDEANI MADUABUCHI EDEANI LED NKANU YOUTH ORGANIZATION (N.Y.O) LEADERSHIP

Nkanu East Youth Stakeholders meeting held on Saturday, 22nd July, 2023 at Press Center, Enugu by 4:15pm.

After an extensive and exhaustive deliberation on burning issues as it concerns the State, N.Y.O, the terms of reference of the caretaker committe led by Edeani M Edeani, and its forthcoming Congress, Nkanu East Youth Stakeholders resolved as follows;

1. That we throw our weight in solidarity to H.E; Gov. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah led administration in Enugu State and commend him on actions taken to check the security situation in the State.

2. We urge the citizens of our dear State to desist from playing antagonistic politics and join hands with our Governor to build a State we all will be proud of.

3. That we continue to assure our people that His Excellency will deliver on his campaign promises, not minding the topsy-turvy of our present economic reality.

4. That we will work assiduously to produce a President of N.Y.O that will galvanize support for the Governor in order to have a seamless actualization of his noble agenda for the State, especially in the Youth constituency.

5. That it wasn't explicitly spelt out in the Communique dated 13th November, 2022 which has since been the only legal tendered document N.Y.O referred to as a guide in taking decisions that Nkanu East can't vie for the position of the President N.Y.O and as such, Nkanu East have resolved to vie for the position of the President, Nkanu Youth Organization.

6. That Nkanu East having earlier considered ceding her rights on vying for the position of the President N.Y.O, owing to the fact that one of her sons is currently the Caretaker President thereby rescind their earlier decision with the following reasons;

6(i). That Nkanu East can't be disenfranchised from contesting the position of the President, N.Y.O and not allowed the privilege to produce the Electoral Chairman.

6(ii). That the portion of the draft Constitution Article 16(iv) to be used for the Congress gave the six (6) Local Government Areas LGA(s) in Enugu East Senatorial Zone equal stake of having one (1) nominee in the Electoral Committee and a representative from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has been truncated with the Electoral Committee Chairman, Nnamchi JP Egbo as nominated by the National Executive Committee President, Comr. Edeani M. Edeani, came from Enugu South that has earlier nominated Comr. Princewill Ugwu as their representative in the Committee, thereby giving them an undue advantage while also having one of the front-runners for the position of the President from Enugu South.

6(iii). That the purportedly appointed Electoral Committee Chairman Nnamchi JP Egbo as nominated by the President is an alien to the Organization. He is not known and hasn't participated in any activities of the Organization prior to his nomination as Chairman, Electoral Committee.

7. That the forthcoming Congress is a brotherly affair and as such, Nomination forms for the election should be free. Meaning, no candidate should pay to obtain nomination form!!

8. That when the incumbent Caretaker President and his Executive vied for their current positions, they didn't purchase any nomination form and hence we advocate for free nomination forms

9. That Nkanu East Youth Stakeholders will pay for all the printing materials needed for the Congress.

10. That interested individuals in any of the position should have a verifiable means of income; either in civil/public service or verified private sector.

11. That the Caretaker President failed woefully in the implementation of the mandate given to him and his Executive which includes;
i. Registration of the Organization.
ii. Creation of Local Government structures.
iii. Having the Constitution handy and ready for use on or before 13th May, 2023.
iv. In consultation with stakeholders, the Constitution of the Electoral Committee on or before 13th June, 2023. (So as to give aspirants 2 months to consult before the election)

It is in view of the above and other untoward behaviour of gross misconduct and abuse of office that Nkanu East Youth Stakeholders passes a vote of no confidence on Comr. Edeani Maduabuchi Edeani led Nkanu Youth Organization.

12. We call on the Board of Trustees (BoT) to probe the activities of the interim National Executive Committee of Nkanu Youth Organization led by Comr. Edeani M. Edeani and take appropriate actions accordingly.

13. That as written in the Communique dated 13th November, 2022, the BoT should intervene and make sure that the Communique would be strictly adhered to and the Congress holds on 13th of August, 2023.

Signed, for and on behalf of Nkanu East Youth Stakeholders:

1. Prince Arinze Arum.
2. Ogechukwu Nnamani.
3. Pharm. Nwafor Gideon.
4. Engr. Aga Chikezie.
5. Ubagu Anthony Chekwube.
6. Rt. Hon. Egbo Henry Chukwunoso.
7. Humphrey Edeh.
8. Okoh Bartholomew E.
9. Njom Jude.
10. Chukwuemeka Mbah.
11. Uche Okoh.
12. Obinna Okonkwo.
13. Gabriel U. Odi.
14. Emmanuel Mbah.
15. Anyim Edwin.
16. Mbah Onyeka.
17. Nwodo Chima.
18. Ikechukwu Mba.
19. Chukwudi Onuchukwu.
